Why do the Chinese New Year Mounts

…keep getting made Blizzard Store Mounts, when there’s literally an in-game holiday for the Chinese New Year?

The Lunar Festival has been here forever, and still lacks a single mount for players to collect during it, yet there’s now multiple Chinese New Year mounts, yet they’re all from the Blizzard Store.

Is there a reason you couldn’t have made Hogrus a Lunar Festival Mount, rather than a Blizzard Store mount? You literally just added the Vulpine Familiar to the Blizzard Store, there was no reason to add Hogrus to it right now as well.

Probably because it does well overseas profit wise (probably doesn’t do poorly in the US either)

Activision needs your $$$, because the subs are going down. 3-4 Billion on Micro-tranactions is not a mistake.

Or you know the fact that blizz isn’t a non profit and is, shocker a business, and that wanting to make profits are part of that.

I bought the base game. I bought the expansion. I pay a monthly sub. And that’s not enough?

Sorry. F2P games have cash shops. For a sub-based game to do so is beyond the pale.

I’ll add this here. Self-explanatory. Plus no one is forcing you to buy the pig mount and you can get solely via gold and now.

If I were you I’d be thankful the sub price hasn’t changed ever (iirc). And all of what you listed now can be done via gold now.

Simple, they want more money…if you dont like it unsub its that easy…unless your addict like 90% of the whiners that just whine about everything on this fourms

That’s like saying a restaurant shouldn’t offer appetisers or desserts because they already sell entrees. Isn’t that enough?

Car companies shouldnt make different models of cars because they already make good sedans. Isn’t that enough?

If there is profit to be made a business will explore it. Blizzard is a business, therefore they want to make profits.

Don’t like it. Don’t buy it.

Not quite, and apparently you have never eaten out. Meals often come with those. (In America we call them “buffets”)

Your car company example is similarly flawed. When I spend $30,000 on a car, maintenance is often free the first year (Depending on dealership and make / model)

Blizzard is free to make other MAKES / MODELS.

Oh yes, you are correct there, Blizzard is most definitely exploring ways to make “profit”

The Hivemind is a recolor of the Jellyfish mounts.

On top of that, over half of the “new” mounts you list are recolors of the new mounts.

…Which still count as new models in use for BfA. If you want to dissect it and pick out the exact number of new models excluding recolors, go for it and have fun.

Also, for the record, I think pig would be better for the event and that releasing it so soon after fox as a shop mount is a bad idea.
