Why do some top players have 4-5 of same class?

Yeah bro because

Yeah man because top players have never had multpple of the same class before this is a Dragonflight thing

???

The answer to your question is because the crack pipe of wow has it’s hands around their throats and won’t let go. I understand like 1, maybe even 2 of the same class so you can Q ladder with friends on alts while you push ladder on your main.

But there was a ret on ladder last season who has like 5 rets in the top 50 just spammed Ret Warrior Rdruid like bro you need to seriously reevaluate your life

They’re bored, they have way too much time, and literally don’t know what to do with their lives when they aren’t on WoW. Just wild to me that they don’t play other classes

I like Borngood a lot but if that MF makes a 7th paladin for solo shuffle i’m going to stage an intervention like the dude has a problem

Its called the leap frog strat.

Y’all are acting like pvp hasn’t always been like this, no new players come to pvp, the only thing keeping pvp alive is elite/gladiator pvpers on their alts. And a couple 1600 ish Andys like myself that try to break the barrier. But that’s it.

Im no where near a top player, but I have 3 rogues, usually only manage 2. The 2 I do play however, are usually in the same cr range until I have a really good push on one or the other.

Before xfaction, I had one ally and one horde, but that doesn’t matter anymore. Now I just kinda do it for the mogs and looks on NE vs Orc. Another reason is just for game quality at the time. For example, I would say my NE is my main, so if I’m playing more for fun or my team wants to test out dif talents and strats, I’ll play my Orc not to mess up my cr and what not.

Whenever I play my 3rd rogue, that’s just to yolo lfg stuff, play with friends or guildies, or sometimes just to bless someone in 2s who’s stuck at like 1400. Feel like I helped so many random ppl push 1800 in lfg throughout SL on my 3rd rogue.

once u reach high cr, queues basically stop existing unless the other 5 players at your mmr are online

sometimes you want to try different builds on your spec without throwing at high cr unpracticed

alts to q with friends’ alts

There is an advantage for pushing R1 titles in RSS if you have 2 characters. Let’s say you get to 2.8k on 1 character. You log onto your second character and play until you are above 2.8k. Once you are above 2.8k on the second character, you go back to your first character and play until you are at a higher rating than your first character. Essentially you can prevent your rating from falling at all. Only matters for %/rank based rewards though.

Also you can have different characters to test stuff without tanking rating on a different character.

So you can have 2 characters to leapfrog each other,1 to test random stuff and 1 to play non-sweaty games. 1 to test out a different race. And stuff like that.
