Why do so many men role play as females?

I wanted to provide the denizens of Azeroth with high quality, hormone free goat milk.

Why do people get so hung up on this? Sometimes I RP a man. Sometimes I RP a woman. Sometimes I RP a human. Sometimes I RP an elf. Sometimes I RP a terrifying monstrosity from beyond time and space, warping reality to my fecund will, or as it’s known in WoW, a gnome.

Why would I limit myself to only roleplaying myself?

The problem is that you are expecting something out of a virtual character and when it turns out it’s not what you want, you get angry. I would use more descriptive terms but would get flagged for sure. The problem is with yourself.

For people who are secure about their sexuality and self image, it doesn’t.

I guess people like the OP are desperate to prove something to themselves.

This character was originally a female gob because they have the best stealth animation. I periodically got whispers in game with people hitting on me so left both the soyhorde and the female gender behind.

I get the feeling that the people whispering me were likely the same people who come into bait threads like this and act all outraged.

Woman only applies to the female humans.

  1. Because they can.
  2. Because they want to.

Anything beyond that is not of other people’s business…

Did your handaxe feel funny after you flirted with a man who you thought was a woman? It’s totally normal, sexuality is fluid.

Right? All I can picture is Ferengi when people use “female”.

My guess is he hits on them thinking they’re women IRL.

be like saying , omg how could you play tomb raider, you would be a female, if you play a female character in a video game it means nothing.

There is literally nothing wrong with using the word female, not to mention I also used the word “male” in the same post and that didn’t seem to bother you. Especially since we’re referring to fantasy races in this context, most of them not even human, and none of them real.

I wonder if he ever finished the first Metroid…

(Don’t spoil it for him!)

Most of my alts are named after characters in my own stories, it would be weird to play Jerauld’s love interest or his little sister as a male character just because I’m a guy? It’s like saying a writer shouldn’t have female characters in their stories because they are men.

Why are you playing an Orc when you’re human in real life? Is it because you like the way the Orc looks more? There’s your answer.

Roleplaying, as a further activity, isn’t restricted at all. If you’re interested in exploring the story of an Undead or a Worgen then why can’t you be interested in exploring it from the eyes of a woman? Whether you’re a man or a woman in real life isn’t relevant, you can still appreciate a story where the main character isn’t your gender.

Some races just look better as female to certain people. For example when it comes to nelves i prefer female because they look better imo especially with the new customization coming in Shadowlands. Other races I choose male like orcs as is evident by my posting character because they look better for that race imo

You underestimate my power.

I’m sorry but mods should really put an end to these threads. All you’re doing is promoting sexism and shaming men.
