I thought their theme was all about using the power of the elements. Which element are they using to heal me?
Not that I mind it, I think they’re one of my favorite classes to have backing me up in PvP, but I can’t think of any reason their theme would involve healing except as a counterbalance to Paladins.
Water! In classic none of their spell animations reflect it, but later on they change all their healing animations to be water themed.

Shamans in WoW like their real life counterparts are spiritual healers. They use the power of the elements to attack things, not heal things.
I find it very stupid that the heals are water THEMED, but they are in the nature school. I wish they were frost school.
I’d rather take a resto shaman over an enhancement shaman in a WSG or AB any day. Elemental shaman have that special place in the BG as long as they have that BWL trinket though. Other than that horde just needs more heals and windfury totems.

Definitely Water. The entire Resto Shaman talent tree is made up of icons resembling ocean waves and are named with terms like “tide.”
There was actually a fifth element explained through the books called Spirit. They mostly heal with that. It kind of has sway over all the other elements.
It was later changed to water sometime in like… Cataclysm.
Shaman, shadow hunter, grunt… am I missing something? Who is the second one? Crazy plot god lady? If it is, then since undeath is actually a misnomer; they are still technically dead. Hmm, is my memory failing me?

The only thing good that expansion brought was the night elf weapon out staff casting animation.
