Why do PVErs not like PVPing?

A stick is a stick.

Except one will break on impact, the other will break you on impact. Stop being obtuse.

If you thought the pve or rp communities are any nicer you’re gonna be muy disappointed.

Well, ranked pvp inherently puts you against players near your skill level. I suppose you could make that argument in vanilla wow but currently high end pvp is rated.

you are failing abysmally at it

you are coming across as the type of person no one wants to deal with in any situation.

you are coming across as pushy, and as someone who really doesnt care how other people want to spend their leisure time so you can push your agenda on everyone for your own satisfaction and epeen

I’ve seen more than a few pvpers trying to intentionally drop their rating. Is that to farm lower brackets or something?

It could be to sell boosts, but other than that there is no benefit as far as I know.

Ah that makes sense. Thanks for the info

You are just being dense here. On purpose or not can’t say.

This literally has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you and the cliche defensive knee jerk reaction everyone on the internet develops when someone says anything remotely honest because it triggers you.

Me risking looking like an a*shole to be honest with you is actually the most vulnerable and helpful thing I can offer you. You’re insecure and afraid to look at the truth that you just aren’t currently very good at the game and that’s why you’re afraid to pvp. I’m telling you that is 100% why you don’t like it. I also just offered to spend as much time as you’d like teaching you about arena and pvp in wow for as long as you’d like. I literally offered you my time and energy and you chose to see the bad in the sentiment because your insecurity is rampant. Let me guess
24 year old woman who plays the game a lot and is afraid you aren’t very good? Am I wrong?

Don’t blame me for that. Offer still stands. Play the game however you’d like and if you don’t like PvPing don’t do it. If you like collecting transmogs do that. Don’t do anything you don’t like. I support that 100%. But do not try to pretend like there is more skill involved in PvE when there just isn’t. I’m not an a*s because thats objectively true and you don’t want to accept it.

I assure you, a very large majority of people interested in competitive PvP are interested in fair and balanced PvP.

What your statement should read is “No devs, and I mean not a single developer currently employed at Blizzard, is interested in putting in the work to create fair/balanced PvP.”

I was a dh who i heard was op. So i tried bgs for a bit. Came across a mage who knew his stuff

I rage quit so hard. Screw that

Pvp sucks

My interactions with the PvE and RP community have been way better than those of the PvP communities.

my guess, is that they don’t like:

  • getting ganked by rogues
  • having a million abilities go off at once in their face
  • getting cc’d
  • toxic people on their team
  • getting swarmed by multiboxers
  • losing at the game
  • dying instantly due to low ilevel
  • being forced to grind-out a higher ilevel just to do damage

atleast, those are my guesses.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

boy are you wrong lol
you are just trying to “trigger” people and are doing your best to be condescending

i play real pvp games when i want to do it, games that people like you are afraid of playing.

let me guess, you are a 30 something unemployed slob with no social skills and filled with regrets about that one gamer chick who friendzones you, so you become an antisocial jerk in the game with a highly inflated opinion of themself?
how warm am i? oh yeah that works both ways, see?

If you say so, but I’m not the one who doesn’t understand an FPS and an MMORPG are two completely different kinds of games.

For arenas, this fails to account for the difficulty of coordinating large numbers of people. It’s a lot easier to avoid any of 3 people making a mistake than it is to avoid any of 20 people making a mistake.

Clearly this means that Epic battlegrounds are the most difficult content in the game. Perhaps this is true, since Epic battleground teams never come close to making no major mistakes.

You can tell by my honor level that I like to pvp. I love battlegrounds and I like Wpvp.
When it goes to arenas, not so much
 why? Pillar humping.
Once, I was doing 2s and at the end of the match there was me (Frost mage) and a balance druid. I was killing him but I did not have ring of frost (my bad), so I could not stop him to go cat and run behind pillars getting back to full HP. I told myself “this is stupid” and stop doing arenas since then xD. I want to try arenas again.

Lots of people complaining about being griefed out in the open world by PvPers, but I can probably guarantee 90% of the people doing the griefing are PvE heroes. When you can’t get ahead in a traditional PvP format it’s probably just easier for them to go out and push around people who aren’t expecting it. /shrug

Rank 1 gladiators are being griefed by PVE heros? I guess that shows how little arena ranks mean.
