Why do players roll on items they don't need?

Hunter weapon.

Nobody NEEDS the gear. There are so many sources for it and LFR rolls are the worst source. There’s only one source for the electric stick appearance so I’m rolling on it.

If anyone is a ninja, it’s the players who refuse to do anything to improve their character outside of raid-logging LFR.

If you’re in a random LFR you have no obligation to anyone. You can roll on whatever you want that the game gives you the option to roll on, for whatever reason you want. You can choose to be ā€œniceā€ but that’s a choice, it’s not a guild group, you’re never going to see these people again.

Alts and tier my dude. I’m not bringing my 606 alt to a heroic aotc clear raid. I’m taking my 606 alt to lfr to hopefully snag a couple tier pieces so I can go straight to 6’s, grab hero gear, then get into the heroic aotc clear by the end of the week.

And despite the fact you vehemently refuse to gear your alt, you are no more deserving of loot than anyone else.

if youre only 606 why arent you running high tier delves so you can get into raids then?
something isnt adding up here friend…you WANT the gear, but you dont seem to WANT to do any real work for it

What do you think I’m doing in lfr? Trying to gear my alt but people who don’t need the gear yoink anything they can get their hands on lol. Scroll up. You’ll see a plethora of people say they do it just for the 50g vendor price kol

Blizzard has designed an LFR loot distribution system to minimize the loot that will be received by players who need gear. Blizzard did this by incentivizing players who don’t need the gear to roll on items they don’t need. LFR is now intended to be a transmog distribution system for players who don’t need the gear and a way for them to earn gold in game. Besides, it sells more tokens if players can auction off desirable pieces they have no use for for millions of gold.

I’m clearing lfr… For the gear… Hello?

If you’re sitting at 606 ilvl then you are not trying at all. Tier is not required for normal raid at all.

Based on your attitude here? Throwing a fit that strangers are rolling on items that they are eligible for instead of funneling you gear that they want and are eligible for.

Tell us how you really feel about the players you think don’t deserve to play your game.

having personal loot give people duplicates of items that they already have and a high weight towards rings necks and cloaks.

Group loot is weighted towards low ilvl players already, since you cannot roll on a piece of gear you already have at equal or better ilvl and upgrade track.

You’re right. Leveling the character, getting it to 606 to queue lfr to try to get some tier to do higher content is me just not trying on my fresh alt, right?

And CLEARLY that ISNT working out as you planned…so you hamstringyourself by not running delves and then somehow its OUR fault you arent geared lol

I DONT LFR and Im 615 on my ā€˜main’ druid friend…and Im a VERY casual player.
You claim to be playing so hard and yet only 606???

sorry but the details make no sense.
you obviously dont want the gear as much as you say or youd do whatever you needed to instead of pushing your bile name calling in here because of a gear roll

In the time it takes to run LFR, you could’ve gotten multiple guaranteed veteran and champion pieces to be well above 606.

i do this so i can sell it to people who really need it in raid

Worked out on one of my characters lol. Definitely feels poopy that I’ve gotten zilch on the last 4 characters though

606 on an alt… My main is 666

Darsoma - thrall

There’s my main for people who wanna argue

I’d still prefer that I just automatically learn all the lower version of the item if I loot a higher version. Loot Mythic piece, get xmog for Mythic/Heroic/Normal/LFR, etc. The fact it doesn’t is silly. If you upgrade a piece of gear past specific ilvl points, you get the higher version of the xmog.
