I have seen this about 5 times in the last week. Players decked out in mythic plus armor will roll need on LFR raid items, even items like rings and trinkets that have no transmogs. Then you inspect their armor and see they are in full mythic plus and will never possibly wear the items they just rolled for and won. You message them to ask if they will give the item to you instead and they don’t answer.
This seems so wrong to me yet Blizzard allows this to continue and some players can go for weeks with not winning one roll in the LFR raids.

Transmog, vendor, whatever they won the roll it’s theirs now.

Transmog.
Since LFR contains unique color variations for gear that you can’t get anywhere else, even if you can clear higher level raids, people including myself will need on appearances.
Rolling for transmog doesn’t treat it as need, it’s basically useless if someone happens to roll need.
I try to at least wait until later in the season to start doing that, though. I know folks need to gear up and I don’t want to rob that from them.

Yes, and don’t forget about the item converter - free set items man (though I would wait until you have Champion/Hero to convert…maybe Veteran if you’re desperate).

Rings and trinkets are a wild card. Item level means nothing, it’s all about what they do/have.

Usually a combo of transmog and compensation for how bad the LFR groups typically are. There’s been someone who que’d as heals or tank, but is dpsing in every single one I’ve been in for the last few weeks.

I never do that, stop generalizing
Although I will need on upgrades for me and if a player whispers me I will either ignore them or say “sorry I need this too” depending on how entitled their message is to me.

If I participate in the fight, I participate in the loot.
If someones mythic geared chances are the participated more than most.

Why roll on an item? They want it, the same reason someone else rolled on it.
What’s the play here? Under personal loot, it was possible for someone to get an item that they genuinely don’t want. That’s just not something that can happen with group loot though.
Someone who is eligible rolling to win an item instead of passing on it? That’s not wrong at all, they participated in the kill and are eligible to receive rewards for their time.

If you’re actually doing LFR to gear up, you’re doing it wrong.

Wow, okay, so lets keep the new players from getting any better gear in raids so they will continue to be bad. wow that makes a lot of sense! I love your logic here!

Kiyoko, why would they want something they won’t even use?
if that’s trinket, that must be enchant or selling purposes…
people whisper winner to buy items and costing around 50k-100k i saw many times…
once you lose rolling, that’s not yours… don’t worry about what they doing with that.
you still have delve chances!

because I want it…
(just kidding, i really don’t roll on anything i can’t use and i dont need more gold lol)
Why? Because a once magical game became weak sauce with LFR. Everyone gets trophy now. Its dog eat dog now and bad behavior no longer has consequences. In Vanilla a person who ninja’d loot, would be shamed off the server.
