Why do people use 1 straddling doublet and 1 strad agate gems?

When I put a straddling doublet on by itself my speed goes up to 10% when I put both my speed goes down to 9%. Am I missing something?

Straddling Sage Agate isn’t a Shadowlands gem. Also I think that it and the 3% movement speed one are a different kind of speed that functions…normally?

The default ui only displays speed as a % given by the tertiary itself, and not any flat % modifiers. You lose -13 from missing out on a shadowlands gem, which is 1.1-1.3% depending on how much speed tertiary you have, since it DRs extremely quickly. The default ui then doesn’t display the +5% as its not coming from the tertiary, showing you only at 9%. An addon like deja character stats will display it properly.

The 10% is just from the speed stat but it doesn’t take in other flat movespeed increases you have active

Basically taking the other makes you lose 1 shadowland gem taking you to 9% movespeed from the speed stat but then gives you a flat 5% so you get 14% movespeed total

everything. I have a speed set on my warrior too, but can only get to ~150% since I don’t have a mastery to pad another 25% on top. my dh will be even faster when i get around to getting the pvp weapons with mastery on them. and then you add +17% movement speed for 8 seconds every fel rush (which I crafted the -30% fel rush cooldown legendary so its only 7 second cd), and i am fast af boi

Pretty much everyone needs the Shadowlands gem. The other one caters to melee and hunters.

Rogue running double seems pointless with already a passive 15% runspeed. I think druid doesnt need 2 either with powershifting already going super saiyan speed.

He’s mastery stacked lol. Our mastery increases chaos damage and movement speed.
