Any game where you can just shoot into your allies and nothing negative happens is fundamentally flawed, so why are they so popular?
For reference, wc3 had friendly fire damage and you had to manage multiple units at a time, in wow you only manage one yet they thought it would be too complicated to track?
Wow would be incredibly different than its current conception if friendly fire had been a thing since vanilla, by no means could it just be flipped today, but I am genuinely curious if the game (/any mmo) would be better or worse after 15 years of dev time around the tenet of friendly fire is a thing to be wary of.
Whatever I’m bored too. If I wanted something super complex and infinitely challenging I would go back to competitive Starcraft. WoW is fun and relatively easy compared to other games and I like it that way. Not looking to make this game a job.
