And the amazing part is that people read those ratings and play the game any way. Instead of being morally outraged that the game exists and refusing to buy it or play it, they plunk down good ol’ hard currency, play it, and then express their moral outrage in the game and on the game’s forums.
Not only that, some even let their kids play it, knowing that it’s not rated for the kiddies, then blast the developers for creating the content that their kids aren’t even supposed to be playing. Just look at all the threads complaining about armorkinis, and Sylvanas’ belly button that used to be visible. By the same people who wear two-piece swimsuits at the beach with more than just their belly buttons on display.
I think it’s hilarious. Kinda like the preacher warning the congregation about carnal thoughts and lust of the flesh … then pounding a hooker in a local motel two hours after the sermon. Absolutely hilarious.
Actors play villains all the time, actors by and large are nothing like the characters they play, and most reasonably people understand this distinction, and can separate actor from character.
Whats disturbing is that some seem to attribute a in-game character to a real world persona. Who is the one with a real issue ? A persona role playing a character in a fantasy game, or someone who believes the role played character is actually a true representation a real person’s morals and beliefs.
Do not put much stock in game rating from the states. it regulated by the gaming companies. Which I find interesting. With some of the stuff they been doing. It should of went up. How it not was answered when I went and look. Now before kids play a game. I look for myself. Don’t mind certain things for certain children. Wow one of them cause I can somewhat control what the see.
I don’t hate her at all. I think she’s a fun villain. What I don’t like is how people can’t admit she is clearly a villain, at least at the current moment in the story. She may be going through an arc and redeem herself in the end, but absolutely a villain right now.
Yeah, you got that right. According to their logic, John Wick and John Wick 2 should have been monumental flops, right? And how about the old Oceans … series of movies (crooks stealing from crooks). Westworld, according to them, should have been XXX rated if it was even allowed to be produced.

Hes right , there is no such thing as absolute good and evil. What is considered good and evil largely depends on your culture and the time period in which you live. What is considered good and evil is always changing as time marches on.

Yes it is ambiguous, the word genocide is less than a hundred years old. If you and your people benefited from something that could dubiously be considered genocide then yes it was good. If you and your people suffered from what might be considered genocide then it would be considered bad.

Even when she faced Arthas in Lordaeron when his power was waning, she brought it up.

If you read the Rise of the Storm novel, one of the reasons why Sylvanas snaps and kills the Forsaken who are trying to reconnect with their families is she was so enraged that they could feel happiness, and not embrace that death was the final answer.
Just bad writing. The people behind this writing are truly on the next level of suckage. I mean they can’t even write the whole Warchief isn’t liked by people stick any differently than when they did it before.
