Why do people like high elves so much?

They are legit cowards and abandoned Lordaeron when the beacons were lit. Then they betrayed themselves at silvermoon and got their city taken. Then they got rickrolled again at the sun well.

Then Kael’thas betrayed Garithos by working with the naga. Then the Kirin Tor by abandoning them because Jaina rejected him. Then he betrayed Illidan at Tempest Keep.

Lor’themar came super close to betraying the horde and joining the alliance during legion.

The horde faction of elves betrayed the kirin tor when they allowed the mana bomb to be moved through the city.

WHERE DOES IT END

Because I want more elves so this feels like an Elder Scrolls game.

Almost spat my coffee out!

I’m convinced that this high elf obsession is more of a meme at this point than anything.

No it’s we just love elves for roleplay you know? I love how beautiful they’re and the hair.
Maybe we can have half-elves too!

Because elves aren’t supposed to be evil and blood elves are the most evil race in WoW. Plus blue is better then green.

The great Windrunners continue to have more story in the alliance than the horde. Valeera is another problem.

edit: Without Garithos or Fandral, our excuse to push the blood elves away end up pushed away because of high elves within the alliance.

Oh heck yeah, my Wednesday morning was getting pretty boring

Because they want to play Blood Elves on Alliance side.

They call it the High Elves that are still with Alliance, even though Blood Elves are still the same race as High Elves.

Ion said Blood elves evolved pass blue eyes in a recent interview and now the pro-helf are twisting the words and making it sound like Blood Elves evolved as in genetically.

They will think that Blood Elves drank fel and mutated, they did not. They had their eyes change from being near fel. As did any High Elves not with the Horde who went to Outland. The game doesn’t do a good job at showing how the state of things have changed. Many zones and NPCs are stuck in a time bubble.

They ask for skin tones similar to Blood Elves. I’ve seen them ask for the Blood Elves hair styles. I’ve seen them wanting Paladin on Void Elves.

They are asking for everything and anything that is or could be related to Blood Elves who are the exact same race as High Elves. The only difference is eye color lorewise. That is it.

I see them say “Oh, well, they could have larger bodies from not relying on magic as much” Sounds like a Blood Elf Warrior to me.

Like I said, anything that is or could be thought up for High Elves should be added to Blood Elves.

New skin colors, eye colors, hair styles, tattoos, scars, etc.

I’ve been playing Blood Elf since Feb 9 2009 and I enjoy the Horde. It’s bad enough Void Elves were added, but I swear if they add anymore to Void elves to make them anything like Blood Elves I’m out of this game for good.

I enjoy this game and I enjoy faction identity. Allied races were as big of a mistake as adding Pandaren. Most Allied races should have just been character customization’s, and I think Blizzard knows this now with how they are adding things like Wildhammer stuff to dwarfs and other Troll races to Darkspear, etc.

You talk about “Don’t ruin Alliances fun by trying to take away High Elves from us”

How about you stop trying to ruin peoples fun who have invested a lot of time into this game and enjoy faction identity. High Elves were never added to Alliance. They are just a scattered bunch of NPCs. We could argue any race could be any faction if we started counting player friendly NPCs. High Elves renamed Blood Elves and the majority that was left after Arthas went to the Horde.

Mr. Ion, I say it’s time you put this topic to an end, because all it’s doing is causing way to many forum threads, fighting and stress. Enough dancing around the questions. Afraid people will quit? I’m about to because we keep not getting answers. Just vague answers that can be taken 50 different ways.

because lotr and they dont want to play the horde. duh, also this is spam you could have asked this in any of the other 10 duplicate topics about the same thing

Rofl. Alliance wants high elves because they are a different political entity from blood elves, doesn’t matter if their are identical to blood elves genetically, being the same race.

It needs to be aknowledge that, high elves, in the alliance, at least the ones that live on the forest close to the wildhammers, are more of a tipical forest elfes, that the blood elves ever had. They live in wood huts ffs

because sober elves are way more boring

I feel u talking about Blood Elf more than Alliance friend High Elf

It really boils down to “We want the pretty elf race.”, and that’s about the jist of it.

They’ll spout lore this and lore that, but it’s all a bunch of bs. They’ve been salty about Horde getting a prettier elf race than them ever since BC.

(Observation): Everything you’re talking about applies to Blood Elves, rather than the High Elves players are interested in playing.

Darn. What a loss that would be.

I say give void elves new pink skin tones, and then give them and blood elves more options. Lots more. Tattoos, scars, different eye tints, whatever. They need to go crazy with more customization in this game since we’ve been living with none for 15 years. New options for everyone.

Because everyone wants to RP as Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas aka fellowship of the ring and you can’t do that without a High Elf (Legolas) which the Alliance currently lacks.

The only honest answer you will find on this thread, I believe

I just want to play a race with blonde hair and blue eyes!
