Seriously, their lore is great and their customization options are pretty awesome. Why is there such a focus on High Elves for the Alliance? You have a pretty awesome option right there.
Does anyone care about void elves? I haven’t noticed.
A considerable amount of the Alliance are Void Elves.
Because people had been asking for high elves for over a decade, and getting void elves was considered by many to be a slap in the face.
The feelings of some I would assume has to do with the complete lack of any previous mention of void experimenting elves and then they are part of the alliance.
You guys might be taking this a little too seriously.
Not me, I never asked for high elves. A lot of the people that did genuinely feel that way though.
Just because you ask, does not mean you receive.
And when GD does receive something that it’s been asking for, faster essences for alts, it just whines even more.
Well, yeah.
The masses, in general, are insatiable.
Which is why Blizzard gets a lot of feedback from other places.
No I don’t.
Void = trash.
All it does is delete classes from the roster, while offering nothing in return.
I could almost see this as being accurate, since the lore in BFA has been such a dumpster fire that having literally NO LORE would be considered “great” by comparison.
Because of their origin.
Blizzard literally made them out of nothing just to try to please the high elf crowd by giving them the blood elf model and hoping they would shut up.
They make no sense.
People have issues with the void elves because people wish they could be even half as edgy as they are.
It always cracks me up when people fight over the lore. In the beginning when it was just orc versus human, I’m pretty sure they didn’t have an idea of what it would blow up into. They are going to add things in over time. Sometimes you might like it sometimes you might hate it.
Stop getting worked up about it.
We are under attack!

Demons with FTL ships. Geezus.
Because Blizz took a long standing request, put their own spin on it, and missed the mark. Add to that the fact they pulled them out of their you know what, and giving them no lore before or really since their introduction. It’s the same with junker gnomes, people wanted mechagnomes, the real ones like we saw in Northrend, and Blizz screwed that up too.
Have fun waiting a decade for it like Draenei. For a company that likes blue tentacle-faces so much they sure don’t seem to want to write about them.
And then you have wall-bangers like this, yet they can’t open up class selection because “muh lore.” topkek
They have lore to be great?
Don’t mind the Paladin here. He’s so blinded by his own light he probably can’t see past the end of his nose.
Seriously, I see nothing wrong about void elves. I can see it might seem a bit out of left field, but with the exposure to void entities on Argus. I could see some trying to figure out what they could do with it if they looked into it more.
I think a lot of it has to do with how the Void Elves were pretty much made up on the spot. There is nothing there lore wise and just poofed into existence cause Blizzard needed something there to be so both factions have the same number of allied races.
That and the fact people been wanting to play High Elves for a very long time but got this instead.
