I don’t get it, I feel like the new UI is fine for a minimalistic look. You guys still have your bartender and ELVUI.

There are some bugs and problems like not being able to move status bars and the bags, but it’s fine for those that like it as I still have ElvUI for my personal preference.

Art style, scaling issues, etc. It’s not the same for those that use the base UI and liked it. The people that hate it are the ones that never use addons.

Aside from bugs, it’s in an awkward middle state where its not what it used to be but its not robust enough to compete with bar mods like elvUI. Its fine for some people (I was able to ditch Dominos for my setup after some fiddling) but I think a lot of people were expecting more from it.

If i wanted my stuff to look like ElvUI or anything else i would have made it that way years ago. I just want a button to put it back the way it was. I cant even adjust to chat window size on the fly without having to see an entire interface menu. I dont care that they added 20 million new options if they take away the 10 i use.
This feels like Blizz trying to take the addons that people love and forcing them into the game in a substandard way.

Okay, I don’t hate it. I’ve sort of gotten used to it. One of you mentioned that some expected more. Yeah, kinda like going to poop, sit on the toilet and just pass gas.
I believe the developers of this game felt the need to take a pop on the game. They went to take a dump, just passed gas, wiped their collective butt, and declared it the best UI ever! Maybe, but it still stinks.

“Stock” UI users probably never used those addons, so now we’ve come full circle from folks looking for non-Classic UI addons to folks actively looking for Classic-style addons lol
Personally I never touch the default/“stock” UI for years, no UI addons or anything, and it hummed along just fine in the background (…for years and years and years) with 0 issues
I tried bartender4 yesterday, but meh, it’s still doesn’t fully replicate the “stock” UI experience

If you mean the Gryphon/Wyvren on the main action bar, you can. In edit mode, select Action Bar 1 and check “Hide Bar Art”.

That is a lie…stock UI user here and tried all those UI addons didn’t like any of them due to being too damn busy in style and how many things you got to do and change…I prefer Stock UI …its basic and usable…

For me, its not about the hate of change. Ive been playing a long time. I’ve been using the default UI a long time. I have muscle memory to where things are. I dont have to think about where something is.
One of my biggest arguments is that they too away my ability to easily control my addons. It became far more difficult to adjust the options on anything that isnt blizz UI feature. They now restrict addons from taking actions that help control the UI.

For me, ever since Tuesday certain classes “just don’t play smoothly” anymore, and everything feels all clunky and out-of-place with this new UI
Before, I just let my muscle memory kick in and my rotation went smoothly (everything was neatly-arranged and organized under the stock UI). Now, I’m second-guessing where certain keybinds are with so much changed under the new UI/new talent system combo
It’s the classic “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” scenario playing out right in front of our eyes

It’s just change, some folks don’t handle it well.
Not all change is good or in the right direction though
