Sylvanas burns the night elf tree full of innocent men women and childen “FOR THE DARK LADY YEAH FOR THE HORDE”
Garrosh goes on genocide campaign against the revolution and the alliance “HES LITERALLY HITLER”
Sylvanas kills her own troops raises them as mindless undead to serve her and doing scorched earth “FOR THE HORDE YEAAAH FOR SYLVANAS”
People love voljin and baine for going against Garrosh leading the horde down a bad path.
People call saurfang and baine traitors to the horde for going against a mad woman leading the horde down a bad path.
Sylvanas is not for the horde… she is for herself and the forsaken the horde comes second
Garrosh is not for the horde but for the orcs and himself.
They are literally almost the same. i just find it funny people justify evil sylvanas but not Garrosh. I see a few Garrosh loyalists here and there but the sylvanas circlejerkers are out of control… like a infestation. Mostly blood elf and forsaken players… (Funny most of these blood elf players say people that dont side with her are traitors but they literally tried leaving the horde and switching sides. and the forsaken killed many at the wrath gate.) Who are the traitors now?
I sided with saurfang and ill help baine. Nuff said.

I don’t hate either of them, blizzard ruined Garrosh and is currently ruining Sylvanas. I just look back and think of how i liked them before blizzard hit them with the villain bat (and yes i know Sylvanas has always been pretty ruthless), the story writing is pretty pathetic.
Its pretty simple, she is an elf, the big fanbase will love her because of that, and the rest of the people who like her because tig ol bitties
The sad part is Garrosh was altruistic, he always did what he did not for himself, but for the horde, then later for the orcs who sided with him, unlike sylvanus who will do all for herself and only that and will use it the horde as a tool.
Its complicated. Sylvanas has been a staple character for a long long long time before she was ever warchief. Her fan base didn’t appear because she became our leader, we just see it all the time now.
Personally I’m a huge fan of her back story and character but she needs to go. Either make her go completely evil and leave the horde or kill her off.
Garrosh on the other hand was effing great imo. They made him go full evil but he honestly should of been redeemed and exiled. I would love for him to still be alive and punished but learning. He was a very good character weitte. Poorly.
Another difference is garrosh is a brown orc with an axe. He’s just a warrior.
Sylvanas went from archer to dark ranger queen to… necromancer? She’s become powerful for no lore reason at all but it’s happening.
Her being an unplayable class makes her different like arthas and illidan before dk and dh

Don’t know why this question is honestly being asked. She has loads of story behind here, whereas Garrosh was rammed at us left and right. He had an annoying voice, and he consistently made stupid and aggressive decisions.
Sylvanas brought a chance to see the Horde from a different perspective.
