I really think it is a small vocal minority. I think that is the way of most things in this game. Even things that I have complained about in the past.
The game does have its fair share of issues but it is still a decent game at the heart. From what I’ve seen elsewhere, people like the idea of bringing these things back. Planning on going to old scholomance myself and trying for different recipes my characters probably don’t have.
The fact that you need to find a player whom already collected the set, is just outlandish. Just let us craft it ourselves once we acquire the materials.
With the dwindling population of this game, tacking on that requirement seems silly and out-of-touch.
That’s my main beef with the Work Order system. Luckily I have people in my guild that can do most of the stuff I would want at the quality that I want. But Blizzard refusing to let me make a quality requirement for what i want crafted is a deal breaker for some stuff for me. As far as the Naxx stuff goes, I don’t think that’s an issue.
But even as much gold as I have, I can’t see dropping that much gold on a mog. But I’m sure there are people that said that and still say that about the 5 million I drop on the AH mount. To each their own.
The only people I know who have 2.8mil sitting around waiting to be spent are selling M+, AotC achieves, and people with $200 to spend on tokens.
I see some here claiming even casuals make that much…I am disabled and unemployed. I play more than is healthy, and I don’t make that much money even when I put my mind to it.
It’s an outrage, honestly. 2.8mil in unavoidable costs, plus they then add on player gatekeeping fees on top of that.
The fact they would put player gatekeeping in this outrages me more than even the 2.8mil vendor mat fee.
Even if you have the 2.8 million gold for EACH DANG SET that you want, you’ll never get any of them without passing through the player gatekeeping checkpoint.
The return of Old Scholo isn’t bad (all old content should still be available IMO and this is an interesting way to return it to the game, certainly more so than just adding an NPC with an option to phase to the old version).
Sadly though, old Naxx doesn’t come back and is not playable.
Instead, all we got was Blizzard milking players for their decision to be cheap in Wrath by moving classic Naxx to Northrend and using it as the expansion starter raid.
So instead of getting the old zone back and being able to play it, even if it required jumping through a bunch of hoops and such, we get nothing but an alternative gold sink (tokens, cough, cough) so old timer elitist such as Ion can still fill special while not angering the idiots that dropped hundreds or more buying gold to buy the old sets off the BMAH.
Good to see someone who has a similar viewpoint. Could not agree more. I have seen a lot of bad calls from Blizzard over the years and this now is my number 1. I highly doubt they will change there mind on this topic mainly due to them never listening to feedback.
Whether or not it is change I will be make no more comments on this Topic, I know what will inevitably come out of it so I will move on and get back to doing what I have been doing in wow in recent months and that is Enjoying content there that has no attachment to Dragonflight. Mainly due to the weak gearing system they added compounded by a very long upgrade process for anyone who like me play 3+ characters.
So to end off Props to everyone good or bad opinion I hope you get the most out of this patch regardless of your stance and I will catch you all in the next hot debate.
My only compliant is that they brought back old Scholomance, but the “old naxx” is just the wrath version with the ability for it to drop scourge stones + a secret mount on 10 man only.
This too. Just make the patterns require a lot of Death’s Bargaining chips
Wait until you learn that there is still the untextured naxx above the uninstanced Stratholme. Which you can see if from a flying mount at a certain angle.
