Why do people defend pathfinder?

Those who think we should have to experience all of the content before being able to fly. This is another “you should have to enjoy the game the way I enjoy the game” type of argument. Some people like being able to do the content at at their own rate and in their own way. Stop foisting your idea of fun off on others.

The only-flight-all-the-time people seem to forget that zone design is a thing. Being able to control where players access in a zone and how they get there is a significant tool that designers use to set the flow and feel of a zone. Preserving that experience is what Pathfinder is there to do.
