Why do people complain so much that SL is grindy? There is literally only 1-2 activities that you need

Which is what makes the time gating pathetic.

They are doing nothing more than artificially inflating the amount of ‘content’ there is by trickling it to you.

not necessarily, if you only do 2 a week it very well could be closer to 2 weeks behind

Its immersive.

We must save leader_name, now! Its urgent.

Here is the intel, Sir!

Alright…now go away. Check every couple days to see if I have an exclamation mark for you.

Really…Bolvar I know you got messed up, twice. But do we need define urgent? Getting flamed and liched seems to have crossed some wires up in that head.

Correlation is not causation.

Cite evidence that flying is the direct cause of the subscriber count.

No, that’s a strawman, a non sequitur, and a false dichotomy.

Saying something doesn’t directly increase your power doesn’t mean it must indirectly increase your power. It could simply not increase your power. The ability to fly has no effect on your combat power.

You destroyed your own argument by making it so incredibly badly that it’s three kinds of logical fallacy in a single sentence.

You will never in your life approach the quality of argument I made while being unable to sleep last night. You’re simply incapable of that level of critical thought. Your mere attempt to step up to me was an absolute, unmitigated disaster.

I don’t agree, I find it to be dismal. The activities for me to do, or the storyline for me to follow, are not that engaging. Did I change or did the game change? Obviously both, but drifting it seems in different directions.

The game is focused on raiders and mythic + players - and as one poster noted above, they log in once a week for that, ignoring most of the other content. And for that, they seem content.

For players not invested in those activities, “Lovely” isn’t a word I would use to describe it. Bleak, bland, would be closer to the mark. There’s no meaningful story in this story and no meaningful RGP in this RPG. So I find myself, at least, not enthusiastic about logging in. I log in, look at the map, and leave.

Listen, I’m not you - you’re certainly not me - and I am well aware you can’t please everyone all the time - but for this casual, I’m not finding it very appealing this expansion. I don’t recall feeling this way about any other expansion so early on before. But it could just be me.

Sadly i cannot. And to be fair, this onus is on Bretherezen here. Though considering he explicitly said “i don’t cite crap”, the answer is impossible to get out of him. Though the answer is impossible to get anyways because you are correct that correlation isn’t causation. I wouldn’t say flying is a cause for subs to drop or to raise.

While there isn’t any hard evidence to confirm, i did found an article on gamerant here made back in May 2015, titled ‘‘World of Warcraft’: Blizzard Says No Flying Mounts in ‘Warlords of Draenor’’. It’s only good for making educated guesses.

You can choose not to do those grinds, but they are grinds that some people feel compelled to do, and they are mad about it.

I would say its both.

Tues is great as there is tons of content then by wed I have nothing to do but try to pug higher difficulties of the raid or M+. The daily activities are the maw which due to its eye mechanic limit it to about 20 min or less a day. And the emissary which is about 10 min a day. This speaks in a huge way to time gating.

With the low drop rates you have to grind a great deal more M+/Raids to get the same gear as previously. Just to get to the next difficulty and have to restart the grind all over again for the same items just with a higher ilvl. This speaks to the soulless grind people are facing.

So we have the worst of both worlds. On top of older content (which is usually a good source of enjoyment and gold farming) being scaled and thus taking even longer then normal.

Don’t know about him, but I like WoW a lot. I just strongly dislike Shadowlands. So I play my lower level retail characters, or I play Classic. Either way I avoid the railroad.

If you like Shadowlands, good on you. Others don’t, & have their own reasons for disliking it.

An OP whining about people whining just to get attention. How original.
