Fun thing about things like veneration and AC; As long as your ability connects with the target, even if they take 0 damage, you do healing based on the damage you would have done.
And on the boss for Brood, you’re mostly doing raid healing, since like 75% of the raid is near the boss.
Okay well I have details open at all times and I’m actually there, so… No I don’t?
So my point is being top 1-2 on healing for the part of the fight that means nothing is the reason you think monk only needs 5 buttons and button bloat isnt a thing?
Right, so after looking that up, it’s another redesign and not a lost ability.
Again I am not seeing the problem here. By your own admission earlier, you only use 5 abilities, so why are you getting salty that some of those abilities now trigger passive bonuses to make your healing easier?
Also have you remotely considered that this game isn’t balanced around you and there may be other monk healers out there who think the current setup is too complicated?
Problem is that, I CAN push those buttons to boost my healing. Choosing when and where to do so is a form of skill expression.
They are removing that to turn it into a passive that has zero thought involved, because apparently having 5 buttons and a handful of cooldowns is too hard for people. I can barely play class without falling asleep as is, TWW is just going to make it unplayable.
Did he look through all of my logs ever? No. He looked at the funny number on the front page of warcraft logs, which is really easy to cheese, and goes way up if you run less healers.
When actually doing the content, I am almost never outhealed. Most other healers are below me by 20k HPS at least.
Why do you think having a completely passive ability with zero targeting metrics that you have to press every time just to maintain it is an expression of skill? It already has zero thought involved, just an additional keybind and a cpm inflation.
The game isn’t balanced around you, and apparently plenty of monk players think these changes are necessary, to the point where you got muted in the monk discord for constantly complaining about them.
Is popping flourish mindless too? Everyone acts like rdruid is so hard with their ramping. It just auto targets people with HoTs on them.
RJW was stacking heals ontop of your other heals when you needed it, and it’s a short range based on your position, so you had to actually be standing near the people that need healing.
When you’re parsing 90+ in mythic, you have the foundation needed to discuss skill expression and class balance at peak gameplay.
When you’re parsing grey in normal mode difficulty raids, (I selected that cause it was hilarious. You have some blues and greens in heroic during awakened, but it’s still only heroic), you don’t really have the background to create a thread and discuss the problems with spec design.
A mythic raider who has far more mechanics to worry about may in fact agree that a certain spec is bloated. Their opinion is not incorrect, and carries a substantial more amount of weight than your own.
And I say this because of how rude you’ve been throughout this entire thread.
Being a great most recent example. You have zero credentials to speak the way you have been lmao. In fact, just the opposite. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, and I 100% understand why you were banned from the pally discord.
'cause I pulled up a calculator and did math to show that AC, with Lightsmith, outhealed a full inflo infusion holy light spam fest. After that I got banned, because I was “trolling.”
Nope. Lightsmith has a talent that makes Crusader Strike do double damage after spending holy power, so if you alternate Shield > Crusader > Shield > Crusader, you end up healing like 100k more health than Holy Light would with double infusion procs in the same amount of GCDs.
