Why do people call it "orbis"?

“Oribos” really isn’t that hard to say. It’s three syllables and they even say it a bunch in the game.

I don’t know. It just…it’s odd. It’d be like if I called Boralus Bruslos,
or Stormwind Somtwond.

Because Oribos is too long to type out.

I’ve heard people call it that in some guilds I’m in - granted they also call Revendreth “Ravencraft” and Maldraxxus “Moldaxe” and similar names - might just be some reading issues which is 100% okay.

My brain always calls it oribobolos - apparently my brain has just decided its a random long word so why not add some syllables?!

Same reason back in TBC Shattrath got called by the unfortunate abbreviation of “shatt”.

Just think what we’d have had to deal with if the devs called it Shartath.
