I had this happen to me recently i just turned 80 and i heard over chat somone was lacking in dps and i got kicked. Then got a 30 min debuff so i couldn’t run anything not evebn follower dungeons. At first i thought they where talking about a player that was d/c but no. We did kill one boss then started fighting adds. I was a affliction lock and honestly have really only play destro mostly so was learning affliction lock especially being its best lock class right now. I Don’t have a dps meter so i have no way of telling what my dps was. But yes it definitely can be frustrating because i felt i was doing my part even if dps was low.
When you enter into a dungeon, you’re indicting to the people that you’ve joined with that you’re ready and prepared. When you do not have the courtesy to let people know you need a moment, you cannot expect them to show it back.
As for them kicking you? Well…
Seems like you lack some self awareness.
I think there are some psychopaths and sociopaths in WoW, people who don’t feel guilty about kicking someone without saying anything or giving a reason. I got kicked three times today while levelling my alt, even though I wasn’t AFK in those dungeons. My DPS wasn’t very high because I was waiting for a boss drop, but I didn’t die, and I didn’t interrupt the raid flow, nor did I say anything offensive. Then I had to wait 30 minutes, can you imagine if this happens to people who only have little time to play?
The funny thing is, when I was playing another alt yesterday, someone actually asked, “Shall we kick him? He moved.” That surprised me a little, since WoW is so toxic nowadays. I even told him, “Wow, you’re really asking? That’s rare these days. most people just kick without a word.” I mean if people have empathy, they normally feel guilty doing that… even though it’s only on screen…
