I will 100% always dodge any listing that contains the word “quick”
I usually see a group of low IO dps sitting around waiting for a long time. I imagine they add “quick” to the description, because they wish it was and they’re growing impatient?
Yea that and half of the other crap they list in the titles on the listing for groups.
People are going to be people.
I also like how some people will flag LFM the just sit there and never invite anyone. You see the key listed for 20 to 30 mins with just the one person. Like, what the hell man. That triggers me enough I just flag the listing as spam to get it removed from the list so I don’t see it anymore.
We do it because it’s supposed to encourage people join, knowing that we won’t doddle or chit-chat and we think it should be quick. Like, sometimes we’re helping someone with a lower key and just need one more body.
I don’t normally write “quick”. But if I do, it is because I expect the run to be extra fast (2 or 3 chesting).
For example, I would fill the group with overgeared, higher IO people so hopefully we blast through everything. Or it is a low key and there is an overgeared tank and/or DPS who can clear the dungeon quickly even if there is a carry.
Groups will write “quick” as a shorthand for “geared, prepared, and won’t be explaining fights or waiting around - we will be clearing the raid quick”.
To be fair you can also have M+ groups that are “clear” or “vault” only, which means they only care about completion and not the timer - and may take twice as long to clear the dungeon.
If you want a “chill” group don’t join a “quick” group. It’s odd to equate usage of the word to low IQ though, but you do you.
People are allowed to go afk and they are also allowed to take as much time as they want to form a group. Openly admitting to false reporting on the forum should result in an investigation to account actions but it won’t. Hopefully false reporting like this catches up to players who do this.
You don’t flag yourself LFM to form a group then go afk leaving the listing active. I don’t want to see those listings and want them filtered out when I’m looking for a run. Don’t flag yourself LFM if you don’t mean business. They also don’t action or even look at the group listings once reported. The same people or bots are always listing carries and websites for sales. All it does is hide the listing from the person. Relogging clears the block and they show back up again.
Been flagging them to hide group listings for a long time now and not a single thing has ever happened to me so keep hoping bud.
You not wanting to see something doesn’t mean it breaks a rule, you openly admitting to abusing the report system with false reports does break a rule.
I will. Players who false report deserve to be actioned. It’s very telling of what kind of person you are.
It’s important to me that groups specify the run must be “quick” in their listing. Otherwise I won’t turn off RP walking and my “/me is amazed by the scenery and wildlife” emote macro.
