Why do old areas still have

Why revamp the old zones when they will just get blown through?

How many people actually level old expansion professions?

Every zone gets blown through.
Undermine will get blown through.

If that’s the reason nothing should ever be added because eventually it was be ignored content…

Yes but the expansion is still live.
How many people are honestly playing old expansion zones for anything beyond leveling to 80?

Old content is already ignored einstein. The new content is still new. See the difference?

New content one day become old and hence ignored very quickly. Content new or old doesn’t stay relevant for even the amount of time that it took to develop that content to begin with.

But there are people that will always appreciate it as evergreen content and that is the investment. That’s why it’s worth it.

Case in point Siren Isle, it’s pretty much already dead but there are some people that will enjoy it for years to come. How long do you think it took them to make that area.

The point is the story is always developing and as a side project they can update the professions in older areas that get new story.

No reason to be rude if you don’t see the value then we agree to disagree and you can ignore the thread.

Kind regards and happy holidays

They did just recently released a new expensive store mount yet didn’t have the budget to come up with interesting 2 set bonuses for each class like we’ve always. It’s like there’s a leaky pipe at Blizzard and somewhere someone is sitting on a pig pile of dough, but it’s not the game devs.

Reminds me of one of my previous jobs where the mother company sucked up all our revenue (which was quite a big sum) and we were only given pennies in return. Whenever we needed new equipment the boss said there wasn’t budget left but seeing the numbers that was just a flat out lie, lol.

on the one hand i wonder if the updated Quel’thalas/Northrend will actually use some timetravel - locked preservation of the old version and then update the new one with new minerals and herbs and professions for the new expansions. It would be extremely weird either way honestly. Either they make weird new minerals and herbs and skins for the area, or they allow the use of the hundreds of thousands of current stock of old expansion materials to craft new expansion items and stuff. I don’t envy Blizzard of the decisions and job that I happened to put them up to. I am a jerk. Jeez.

I just thought: Perhaps they can “Magic-imbue” or “Superstrength-mineral/skin/herb” them in the new version.

I couldn’t even venture a guess probably a number of altoholics. As the game becomes ever larger every older area receives gets less and less attention.

That’s the whole point, making the game so large to where there are always going to be areas that are left in the dust is unsustainable. Rather just make stories that find a way to utilize older areas find a new reason to go back and hence breathe new life into them.

Again it’s happening with Quel’thalas and Northrend. That’s more of what they should be doing.

Don’t just settle for band-aid experiences.

Good question. I would love it if leveling crafting professions for old expansions would give multiple skill ups with certain recipes. Currently, you need a warehouse full of leather to get to 300 leatherworking.

yeah and if they do this you wont get either of this because theyll be busy revamping the old world.
