Maybe I’m just blind and there’s some audio thing I’m not aware of. But when I booted up a fresh alt, I couldn’t help but notice an obvious echo when npcs would do their “Hey you clicked on me so here’s a sound clip” while questing. I really don’t recall that echo being there before on my main or the other alts I ran thru levels 110-120
Query: any specific ones you have seen this with?
Explanation: some of them are intentionally echoed.
Well it’s with Azshara npcs. I mean the area north of Org. Maybe it’s just because it’s a big canyonish area with mountains. I just felt like asking to make sure

Statement: I believe they updated it so distance, camera angle, and location effect voices.

While a presence of an echo may make some sense, the effect has been overdone to the point of parody.

Nope out in the open. It happened as soon as I phased out of org and into azshara. You know where the text changes to say “hey you’re in azshara now”
I only get that when I hear my void elf say something, it’s got a brit accent with an echo to it
Turn off sound reverb.
