I have over 100 now, have the trait and seemingly can’t use it for other specs and can’t trade it. So why?
Is there something else one can do with this other than having it occupying bag space?

Hmm…sounds like Blizz is trying to give you a hint about something. Maybe just one more Spark with inspire you to greatness!!!
I’ve stopped looting them as vision rewards, and delete them from the inventory after doing vision quests.
Had this issue. It seems to be tied to what your loot setting is set to (spec wise), if you’re having the same issue I had.
Basically, the game recognized I had two other specs to get the spark for, but my loot specialization meant I kept getting for the same spec, even though it was already there.
Try changing your loot specialty next time and see if you can apply it to either one of your other specs, but that’s how I got it to stop popping up for me (just don’t forget to set loot spec back if that’s super important to you).
Will try it. Thanks everyone!
Annoying that changing your actual spec won’t trigger it. Only the loot spec option does. Took me a minute to figure it out.
If you have your loot spec set to a specific spec, yeah, it’s going to keep trying to make items for that spec. If you have it set to “Current Spec”, then changing your actual spec will work.
