This reminds me of the allied race issue. Players who did the questlines when they were released have no idea how difficult it currently is to complete some of them without external guides, and of course the producers don’t care about legacy content other than to lock players out of transmogs in order to keep them playing in current content.

Final Fantasy is WoW with a longer GCD and slightly easier raids. It also has way better music, and battle music. Story can be a grind at times though, mainly in endgame MSQ content (tons of dialogue).

The biggest clown moment was when Ion said raid is tuned around using DBM and Weakauras, then proceed to not provide ingame version of both.

And people playing at that level already use them, and WANT the flexibilty of it being an addon and out of Blizzards control. Especially weakauras, which has so much value because it’s not controlled by Blizzard.

I agree op. I don’t care what excuses people make to justify this practice.

I should be able to figure out everything in the game without leaving the game as far as how to do something ie complete an objective or participate in an activity.

The only exception for me would be the class rotation and talent optimization stuff.

Because people complain when you hand hold too much and remove all discovery aspects.

The people who complain about “hand holding” are the ones who know what sites to look everything up on. They “discover” next to nothing for themselves. Their concern is that it would be too easy for players on the learning curve to get good at the game without decades of background in elite gaming and connections.
