I’ve never planned anything around this game.
I have so many additional games that I could play. Honestly I don’t think about them until the servers go down.
They knew about your situation and did this just to stick it to ya

I learned long ago never to take launch days off…

You have to keep your holiday plans secret from Blizz…they are listening and will shut down the servers for millions (debatably) of people just to ruin your day.

You love the game, you just hate the inconvenience.
Launch days are terrible. I never get to experience them properly.
I’m usually at work and then when I try to get on at night there’s a massive queue. I’d like to see all the people jump off the boat and run around dragon isles.
It’s so rare having a moment where everyone who’s anyone is in the same vicinity as you are.
Because once the gates are open it’s like everyone scatters to the wind and easily can outmaneuver and outperform you in a matter of minutes.
Kind of like when classic launched. Just trying to kill the boss for a quest and not being able to Target it or join a lucky group enough to tag it first.

Maybe you can catch up on some other hobbies while you wait. 
I’m sure the servers will be back up in no time.

I actually told ion hotpot was playing just today and they needed to have a bad day because of reasons. As a gold defender shillzard i actually get to let ion know what i want in the game.

No idea, I get everything I need via the auction house. Including game time and expansions. Blizzard’s not getting any more of my $
