Sure a 50 minute game isnt good for anyone. But its far worse for the alliance than the horde. Since Alliance honor/hour tanks faster than the Hordes, the its job of the Alliance to win or lose fast. Dont blame the Horde for the Alliance not conceding fast enough to be efficient.
I donāt blame anyone. I personally enjoy the 25-30 min AV games. You get to take all the points, put up some defense, play a strategic game, and both sides stand a chance at winning.
I groan when frostwolf keep has 30-35 horde in it for a half hour and a token defense keeps their forward force from taking any alliance objectives.
And yes, any wasted time does hurt alliance honor farmers far, FAR more⦠thank god Iām not one of those⦠Iād go insane.
The only thing Iām looking forward to is finishing this grind and cave camping all these mongoloids who think turtling is skillful.
The only reason itās effective at all is because alliance leave/give up if the honor per hour is trash.
Are the AV Mechanjcs such that people camping on top of their own base will sooner or later be overwhelmed by the superior resources of the enemy who controls the rest of the map?
If the horde turtles in their base with over 30 of them, then the alliance just has to summon Ivus. Game over. Thatās what the epic summons are meant to be, turtle breakers.
It is the exact reason the Icelord/Treedude exist. I have yet to see the Treedude summoned, even when Alliance have 100% free roam of the map.
We turtle so the game doesnāt end right away because that would be bad honor for us.
We dont have instant ques ā30 min sometimesā so we have to prolong ally drek zerg so we have enough time to get worth while honor.
Lol at all this complaining about a pve bg.
Why do alliance rush drek and try to end the game in 7 mins every single game. I think thatās the more important question.
People are lying to themselves if they think AV is a PvE experience. Yes, thereās elements of PvE, but the team of horde/alliance opposing you kinda makes it PvPā¦
You seeā¦the other half of attackingā¦is defending.
People hide behind 39 other people and kill npcs lol. You donāt even need to know how to pvp with your class.
Then you want to que wsg and not av my friend.
U kidding me? Alliance has one primary objective in nearly every single game. Yāall bypass any actual pvp, glitch Dreks generals, and kill him before they can make it back to defend himā¦what about that says pvp? Meanwhile as horde we have to stick 30 on defense just to even have a chance at getting some honor.
I know. And itās that exact mindset why we can never win in PuGs.
Hereās the same answer given on every other thread posted multiple times a day on the exact same topic with a similar heading:
Well, Iāll give you a real non troll answer.
So, Alliance can make it to drek much faster than we can make it to van. Despite everyone saying just āuse the back doorā almost no horde do, and many more donāt even know about it. Plus, in the time it would take the masses to learn it and master it to make it effective it just isnāt practical.
So, since you all can get to drek faster our defense has to be sending back 15ish to wipe. Sometimes it works, in the times it doesnāt we have another few come back and wipe them out. However, by this time FWGY caps and you guys just spawn too fast to clear out and let us move on to O.
So, we have a turtle of sorts while the 15 or horde left pushing north very slowly whittle away whatās left for our eventual win.
Combine that with 15 minute queues, and the fact we donāt have to compete against allies for honor and there just isnāt the motivation for quick 7 minute losses to ally by not defending Drek and our southern towers.
Also, some of us like to PVP in PVP situations.
So just to recap:
- Ally get to Drek in the amount of time it takes for us to get to the GY right before your bridge. Itās just how the map works.
- We have to defend if we want to win
- We like to PVP during our PVP
because they cant figure out that forcing 30+ minute games to still loose is causing their 1 hour que times.
But itās not causing them. This is what players of alliance are using to somehow justify their āprowessā in āpvpā in AV.
Alliance cant figure out they should be conceding before the game gets that long.
No, thatās not true at all.
Itās caused by the fact that there are way more of them than us in the queue. The reason we get near instant AV queue times is because thereās a stack of horde waiting for enough alliance to queue to launch a battleground.
Ending the battle quickly means they just go to the back of their own massive queue.
Again, it seems like the majority of the alliance are going into a BATTLEGROUND basically expecting the horde to give them the win. Kinda dumb.
