Does it actually benefit them or is it just because they have such a long que time they want to stay in as long as possible
We aren’t as organized because we aren’t pre-mades
Why should we just roll over?
Even if it was insta-que id still rather fight than give you ez mode.
Some of us have some faction pride and fight for more than just ranks.
Both.
While some people will say we would get more honor by just losing quick and jumping back in the queue, my biggest honor gains per hour have involved longer games. I didn’t hit 60 until a few days before BGs released, so a lot of folks are way ahead of me, but I’m not crazy enough to be shooting for a high rank. Just steady progress.
But more importantly, is fun to actually play the game. It’s a long wait, and I want my fun.
Wait I thought Horde pride was dead?
The Horde that play the rush game will get more Honor , the ones who delay and defend sure they get pride but because of DR’s on Honor will actually start to lose out while their realm-mates pass them on the ranking charts /shrug
Surprising, coming from a faction that camped flight paths in 40 mans and caused the death of an entire server faction.
Take your time to enjoy the queues. Savor it while recalling phase 2 events.
You deserve every single moment

So, a lot of people don’t know what a “turtle” really is.
What IS a turtle: Camping at some chokepoint or their base for an hour on end, without any attempts to take bunkers and eventually kill Vandar
What is NOT a turtle: Blockading the alliance at SH graveyard so they can’t interfere with the slow-steady win.
See, remember. Every enemy tower burned, and every friendly tower standing, leaves a marshal/warlord up in the general’s room (also worth bonus rep/honor at battle end). The horde don’t want to deal with marshals. So they make sure that 1. They are able to take out stonehearth and icewing bunkers without interference and 2. that the alliance can’t burn iceblood tower and tower point. This means once they’re in the base, and they have the north and south bunkers take, it’s just a simple pull on Vandar, no need to faff around with warlord pulls like the alliance does.
Most of the time, they’re not turtling. They’re just making it as easy as possible for the final pull, and maximizing the honor/rep gain at the end. Notice how even when alliance wins, they tend to have less bonus honor than horde? It’s cause horde takes the time to use the battleground mechanics.
Im also a Oceanic player. On my server Horde are outnumbered according to:
https:// wowpop.appspot. com/realms/arugal
We got the same treatment in retail. We were outnumbered and Alliance got Against All Odds Because N/A Alliance were outnumbered.
So Oceanic Alliance can enjoy Horde Turtles.
Oh look, another one of these threads.
No horde is just salty. So they try to bring down the great people of the alliance. Such a shame, its short sighted to. Since more turtles means longer ques for them.
They don’t turtle just to do it, it’s strategy, you have to defend. They are trying to win the battleground not cause grief because of the que time. Been going on for 15 years even in retail.
It’s pure salt. As they can’t accept the fact they can’t make premades. Also alliance is better at the rush then they are. Poor horde beed to reroll and git gud.
Horde need to play defense to win. It may be better honor to just kill LTs, Commanders, balinda and let the alliance get the quick win IDK. But the rep gain is not good when that happens. I play for the win, others might want quickest honor. We are all just a group of pugs on horde side.
Shout out to Spartacas and Trigrhappi for being the only non-butthurt Alliance in this thread. There is so much salt from the Alliance in this thread I could flavor my food with it.
Like a weather reporter telling us the forecast is for blue skies while it is raining outside… do you ever log on and check out the world on Arugal. Surely when looking at that wowpop appspot info (I can’t say data) you would think to yourself… “Hmmmm something does not quite add up”
Ironforge pro suggests 60:40 to horde while wowclassic population suggests 63:37 to horde… this is more believable but I am still unsure of the accuracy of any of the data sources tbf.
Add in that Arugal (a pvp realm) appears to be the biggest realm (3 x pvp and one Normal realm) by far and less Alliance are dedicated pvper’s, you end up with horde having massive queues for BG’s across the Oceanic cross realm system.
PS suggest your view that horde oceanic in retail were outnumbered is possibly incorrect too.
Can’t be bothered typing it again so I’ll just quote myself from another thread.
The AV map is designed for that … This is the way!
It’s to be spiteful. Don’t listen to any other reason as they do not get Honor after a certain amount of kills.
They’re doing it to be jerks because they can’t have their way against premades, so pugs on the Ally side suffer the most starting a game with 5 people vs 40 people.
As to WHY blizzard hasn’t addressed the premade issue (which is in FACT causing this chaos) I have no clue.
Feedback was amazing until they started catching flak for some of the mistakes they’ve made with Classic. (Which are many, lets be honest)
When pre-mades only allow 100% mounts with the speed bonuses, they better be better at the rush than the average horde team…
If the horde pugs get enough to stay at IBT/IBGY more regularly and not all rush up either side of Bal, they will eventually realise they can effectively brick wall the rush.
