Roll all you want, you know and everyone else knows here that it’s true.
Except its not lmao
OK I will test the theory and get back to you. Next time M0 x4 for heroic raid loot comes up. I have a char I can use that is around 370.
This topic has come up many times before. The main problem is Ion’s idea of LFD is 99% success rate. People die a LOT in M0 because they don’t know the Mythic mechanics, but also they don’t know/respect some of the Normal/Heroic mechanics. Examples:
- 3rd boss in HoI - people die to mechanics because they didn’t have to learn them in easier difficulties
- Chargath in Neltharus - people don’t know to trip the boss with the chain (and the tank doesn’t bring the boss to the chains)
- Overgrown Ancient in AA - people don’t know to stand near the boss so the lashers spawn clumped for aoe
These mechanics are signficantly more deadly not just because of Mythic scaling, but also because of the loss of the 15% LFD bonus. This bonus needs to be removed for a more smooth difficulty scaling, so people will learn earlier. And as I’ve said in previous threads, people often don’t learn in LFD because they’re being carried by way-overgeared players; I recommend limiting player ilvl to prevent this.
The game also should give more chat log hints / dungeon guide links to help players understand what they did wrong (or more explicitly tell them what they’re supposed to do before it goes wrong, like “hide behind a non-cracked ice block”), and better respawn points / shortcuts so people are less frustrated about dying.

Yes

Normal dungeons are for leveling.
Heroic dungeons are for fresh max level toons.
M0 is the entry to m+ with all the mythic changes/mechanics etc.
Think of heroic as your lfr and m0 as your normal raid.
This needs to be changed as the entry ilvl is inflated yes but you can go buy an entire crafted set at 346 so heroic does add some gear progression.
Im ok with this requiring a group, it allows those to get used to the lfg system. It needs the weekly lockout removed though. I think its so hard to find a group for it due to the weekly lockout as most will just run m2’s for higher ilvl and valor.
I level an alt… it then gets:
- world boss loot
- O Citadel loot
- crafted gear
- world random bosses using the Rare finder
- world quest drops are now 380+
and I am easily, easily ready for LFR. Then I get 380ish gear for free.
Then join the Timewalking weekly when it pops, and then run the low end m0-4’s… call it a day.
After getting enough gear you can join PUG Vault runs.
I though everyone did this, and I dont know who ever did Heroics at all.
Well A: There’s other stuff to do, and B: Personally I like getting new gear, but mostly when it’s actually new gear, like a new model of something.
Because they’re really pointless now. Just a sprint through to the end.
I have a better idea. Why not just get rid of M0 since they have already put heroic in the dungeon finder. Would save them work.
I did mythics when they were first introduced but quickly stopped doing them because I can’t stand that rush rush rush mentality. Is it still rush rush rush?
They’ve been that way since Wrath.
It’s never been this bad.
That would kill WoW pretty fast. More WoW players would buy each new expac, level up, then quit at max level than they do even now.
Wrong. We are supposed to feel comfortable. Especially now that most players can’t rely on their guilds and servers to find groups.
Stop fighting the evolution of gaming itself.
The end of the Wrath expansion was the peak of WoW and possibly of the MMO genre.
The foolish part was trying to push overtuned Heroic dungeons on the masses in Cata. That was the end of WoW’s growth and the beginning of WoW’s slow demise.
M0 should be queue-able. If people really want to be sticklers about it, make it queue-able at the same time in the season valor is uncapped.
But, imo, it should be queue-able from the start.
Nah, Heroics shouldn’t be queuable either instead.
Bet you no one would notice or care.
I love H just for the bag. I’m a geared tank I can pull crazy, top the heal and DPS meters and get 1K gold for 10 min work. Plus the tokens I can either sell or use when doing harder content.
Or people who just don’t care about mythic?
Sounds more like they need to make M0 harder rather than obliterate heroics.
We’ve been asking this question for years now
Thank you Mr. Self-Appointed Hall Monitor. I guess we know all we need to know about you from how you try to control this discussion. Because it’s your internet? LOL. Good luck trying to reframe your previous statements. We all know what you are trying to deny.
