Why do Druids still have the "Teleport: Moonglade" ability?

Do they still go there for any reason? Just curious.

Well once you get to eighty it gets rolled into the Dreamwalk teleport and just becomes an option. It’s probably only there before for nostalgia. And you can go there a few times while leveling to grab dungeons quests for transmog stuff.

Edit; Once you get to Legion

Second Edit: Arcane magic is a vital part of druid balance since it is the order magic that keeps everything cohesive. Using it combined with certain spots in nature to quickly move around the planet you’re guarding makes sense lore wise. Especially compared to the mage way which is to punch holes wherever you are to go wherever else.

At the beginning, we use it to port to Kalimdor (and for very early druid quests).

Once you level through Legion content, it is no longer a Teleport: Moonglade. It becomes a teleport to our Class Hall, which has a room with portals to every dragon gate (including the one in Moonglade).

It’s like mages, only not to cities.

If you ever see a druid kneeling under the moon in a hub somewhere with a circle of flowers around their feet, they are using their teleport to the class hall so they can travel between continents.

All the early Druid quests are gone, but there’s still a Druid-only flightmaster who will send you back to Thunder Bluff if you’re Horde or Darnassus if you’re Alliance. Back in vanilla only Taurens and Night Elves could be druids.

yes, it is. I used to use Lunar New Year to get around the Timbermaw tunnel for the Moonglade flight point on lower-level alts. There were vendors that sold cosmetic items and recipes I needed there, and I didn’t always grind them down to non-hostile by that point. Moonglade was also one of the best fishing spots for the endgame buff foods.

You have to go there if you want to switch your druid flight form into (or out of) the Legion druid flight form - the druid equivalent of the class mount.

There’s an NPC there that can toggle it on or off for players who’ve unlocked it.

When you go to Legion it turns into Dreamwalk giving you Azeroth World access.

We dont have it any more.
We have Dreamgrove.
Now we’re like a mage with teleports :>

Any druid who has not started the Legion class hall should have it still.

What a shame for them.
It’s nice being able to have the free teleports to so many places!

Agreed… I thought it was so awesome when I realised what they’d given us. I still use it semi-frequently.

Between this and the bunch of other teleportation items we have access to, I feel I have almost as much travel convenience as a Mage… which is kinda dirty

There are some low level druid quests there. And it used to be where we got cat and bear forms.

The only reason I can think of is because there’s an NPC there who also sells the glyphs / tomes to learn other forms, including being able to immediately activate the druid class hall bird form at 70 when you train epic flight.

I like to think druids use it to take their weekly shower. But some of the moonkin I run into make me think that’s not true.

Lorewise, it’s the most important location on Azeroth for them. And even though things have been streamlined away from questing there, it’s still critically important.

Most of those places are places nobody wants to go. Feralas?

Wish for the ‘One With Nature’ glyph returned. Was a fun thingy.

They’re helpful for quickly reaching quest points for world events (i.e. the Lunar Festival moonwells) or when you’re working on secret quest lines, such as Uuna. Alliance druids also find the Hinterlands gate valuable because that’s the farthest north they can port to Eastern Kingdoms (useful for getting to the dungeons in that region).

I go there when I want to escape Gilneas starter zone on my new druid alts.
