That’s because people sell goat meat for 5x the price when they call it “demon meat” by changing the name alone.
You got scammed.

Because they are Spacegoats.
They’re aliens yo.
Their hooves are fine!
I like their hooves, they’re adorable.
There is a reason, because their models are based on the demons of AD&D, like a Tiefling, Alu-Demon, Cambion, Succubus, or an Incubus.
They are goats…
Um yes they are. They aren’t plants that’s for sure.
And nobody even noticed the tail… nice.
How else could they waggle?
Enough said. Tells us all we need to know.
Two words: space goats.
Maybe because its fantasy? You know like how elves have pointy ears for no reason?
Why do we have to explain stuff like this in 2020?
Why do orcs have toes? They are big and strong but have delicate baby feet like outworld humans. Why not sturdy hoof like Draenei? Draenei needs no soft foot like cat. Is hard work praising light and make everything out of crystals.
Because they’re space goats
They ain’t hooves, they are just overgrown toenails that got so infested with athletes foot it fused into a single sentient mass on their feet. It calls to them “Kill them Johnny, kill them all.”
Came here to say this, in a now-ancient interview Blizz talked about how they wanted to put in a demon-like race and the pre-retcon Eredar were about as close they could get to being a demon without looking like a full-on classical demon, and so Draenei were retconned into being uncorrupted Eredar.
Another bit of TBC trivia: prior to landing on Draenei, Blizzard had originally intended to make Pandaren the Alliance TBC race. They’d gotten as far as having test-quality player models but then decided to do a different race instead when they found that there was no way to weave the Pandaren into TBC’s narrative without it feeling contrived. This is why the TBC expansion page didn’t listed the Alliance race until many months after Blood Elves had been revealed.
Well. They’re sort of the WoW equivalent of a Tiefling. So the hooves make sense.
Because if only Tauren had gorgeous hooves Blizzard knew nobody would play Alliance so they made a hooved alien race in order to give the Alliance sexy hooves too.
I still prefer female taurens though.
Leave it to an orc not to recognize our superiority.
Have you ever considered that maybe your anatomy isn’t the epitome of perfection that the rest of the universe should model itself after?
