Why do destro builds take Channel Demonfire

I got this ability at 5% of my damage taking up 3 talent points. Is shadowburn really that bad in comparison? Seems like 5% of your damage is insignificant when you could put those 3 talents somewhere else

Tier set fires demonfire bolts. Demonfire bolts extend immo duration with the talent.

Only for M+ because CDF extends Wither until you can use Cataclysm again.

And the damage is really good when pack sizes get larger.
