And when people start talking about “well I don’t think you NEED that, so you shouldn’t have it or even want to have it”… that’s getting into some social territory where a lot of humans need to get better at minding their own damn business and not worrying about what other people do or don’t “need”.
It’s a game. No one “needs” anything in it. “Want” is entirely the correct lens, and they can want it if they want it.
Why are you avoiding the central argument of the thread? Harder content still rewards better loot, that’s not changing. What exactly is your complaint?
As everyone has stated already in its thread its mogs. Half the people i see who push mythics do it for the mog anyways.
I bet if they give currency in lfr that unlocks mythic mogs a ton of people would stop playing mythic content and the complaints on casuals getting mythic gear would drop drastically (some might still complain)
Except mythic+ is potato difficulty for its rewards, but I don’t see that changing because the few times Blizz tried to give mythic+ a challenge the players cried hard.
not really its just stating a fact that if you dont earn it through harder content then why do you feel like you have to have it or deserve it compared to someone who actually plays said content.
remix is popular for the rewards not the content. most people could care less about the content and just do it as a another daily boring grind to get the rewards. if they made an entire season in retail like this it would fall flat on its face.
I think we end up with some people who take “mogs” as their way to show off how awesome they are at the hardest content… and don’t quite grasp that most other players don’t care if they even notice… and just want the mogs to make their character look like they want the character to look.
So we get some excess threatened-”prestige” rage over people getting access to a recolor they didn’t “earn”.
I wanted to do it for the content too, but a lot of the interesting content got cut out (class halls and those missions for the most part, for example).
I never said it was I said it was borderline unobtainable compared to now. It doubles the time investment. To a normal player this is a “Meh. Oh well?” at best but to a casual already on limited time it may draw the line between whats possible for them and what isnt .
While I understand this, there’s virtually no difference between Heroic gear and Mythic gear to and LFR player. It’ll still take the same amount (minimal) of globals to kill that mob(s) in Heroic gear as it does in Mythic gear.
At some point, the “getting stronger” doesn’t actually make you stronger.
