Why do Battle Potions still require 18 herbs to make

Seriously, there is no need for potions to be so expensive at this point in the expansion. I get why it’s done early on, to help reset the market a little bit, but now, it is unnecessary. It is no fun spending 1000s of gold every raid night to make sure that you have a full supply of potions on you. Flasks are cheaper to make right now.

Either nerf how many herbs are required, add a vendor like the one in legion to trade for the mats, or make a cheaper alternative like Pro-longed power. An rng proc does not justify how expensive potions are atm with the options currently out there.

I don’t have Blizzards internal numbers. However, back in the “good old days” of BC, you had ONE herbalism node that could be picked once. Today, we have herbalism nodes that can be picked multiple times in 30 seconds. There was a need in the game for increasing stacks from 20 herbs to 200 herbs, and in most cases, you can get as many 200x stacks of herbs now as you could 20x stacks of herbs back in the day. In other words, their are a crap ton more raw materials in the game to please all the players who want everything handed to them.

Demand for the items crafted from those items has not increased however (it actually has decreased since BC). So potions and flasks need more herbs in their creation in order to use up the supply on the AH. The best option you might get is a transmute to convert 5-10 herbs into an essence of that herb, then you need 3 essences to craft the potions.

I feel dumb gathering without at least 4 multi-box accounts! The node multi-tap is a serious boon to multi-boxing, very lucrative.

I feel dumb running around in circles picking flowers when I could be enjoying the game in other ways.

Seems like 1/3 of the time is gathering, 1/3 of the time undercutting the 1 copper undercutters on the AH (likely themselves to be gold farmers), then finally 1/3 of the game ‘playing’ ! I should just go back to DIablo3 where you don’t have to worry about that nonsense. I just like the camera control in WoW.

Professions are optional. Spend time making gold while having fun, then use that gold to buy whatever you need for raiding or mythic+. Outside those two pieces of content, you don’t need consumables…or enchants, glyphs, crafted armor, etc…

After I learned that multi-boxing was legal, I considered multi-boxing for gathering. I considered it for almost 2 whole minutes! Then I decided it was way too much work. And I can’t think of a single way that multi-boxing would increase my fun.

Gathering was fun, back when Anchor Weed sold for 450g-900g apiece (it was a lot harder to find, back then). Finding a single node, and getting to it in time, gave a big reward. Now it’s a lot less. Or maybe I’m just sick of gathering.

Do you actually need multiple boxes for multi-boxing, or just multiple wow instances on one machine? Would be nice just to pay $60/month on one account to get 4x the herbs/ores per tap. Multiple accounts seems like a hassle.

I never seen anchor weed that high, rarely does it exceed 100g! I missed the 1st few months of BFA though.

Professions can help you afford good items.
