Because generally speaking the Horde beats Alliance A LOT more than Alliance beats Horde in pvp.
It doesn’t help that so many guilds/players have switched to Horde for that vary reason.

It’s differs from server to server.
Why do Horde get a 10% bonus in warmode when they always get a phase where there are maybe one or two alliance in the whole zone?
Not really much of a war at that point.

Imagin playing a dead faction. Go into any alliance bg and over 50% of them are horde mercs lmao

Total Horde > Total Alliance
Alliance gets higher WM bonus.
Alliance all in one place will make it look like they are the higher population in WM but the fact remains that there are more Horde just they are split up over more zones.

It does differ in practice. But the exp buff is based on the entire region’s population across all servers. It doesn’t change on a server by server level. So overall in grand total the Horde are more dominant and always have been. Some realms being Alliance ruled won’t affect it.
Y do my Australian servers get the 25-30% bonus when we are always out numbered 24/7

Alliance for questing, lore, zones
Horde for pvp
Than perhaps warmode bonus needs to start being sector by sector basis eh? If aliance congregate in a giant group to kill some horde (like the maw) that sector should swap balance. (not zone wide, sector wide)

Let’s use the current horde whine as an example where they see xx number of Alliance in one tiny area of the Maw, they may still be greatly outnumbered even just in the Maw due to Horde being all over the Maw not just in that one little area.
Horde greatly outnumber Alliance in WM due to Blizzard’s continued bias towards Horde in PvP situations (example the buff given when they whined because they got camped for days vs Alliance being camped for years)
you don’t lose when you outnumber them in a phase. They are sitting at flight masters and choke points and winning because of numbers. They don’t deserve a bonus at all.
Are you only taking the past week into consideration?
Horde used to wait outside Human starter zone and gank all day.

For real, Blizz needs to end this shenanigans. Alliance lost the war just make them our peons.
Even taking the past week into consideration, Horde still greatly outnumbered Alliance just the Alliance smartly did what Horde have been doing for years and camped a chokepoint.
