Thats pretty much what happened. They have no emotions or memories. They are quite earthen in their speech patterns.

Assuming it’s all the same race, the ones in older content (Cataclysm?) had a whole lot more personality to them. The latest ones have such dull, lifeless voice acting that they’re boring to deal with.
