Serious question. It’s crazy to me that a class with insane burst, 10 sec immunity, no forbearance LoH, and a stun can point to anything a Shaman has and demand it be added to their kit. It’s just weird. The last time I played Alliance on SoD I qued a BG and the entire team was crying about how insane it was the Horde has 4 Shamans and people QQing “this is why I barely ever que BGs anymore”. My team had SIX paladins. No one made a comment about that. Six paladins crying about seeing 4 shamans. It’s pure lack of self awareness.
Do Pallys really not know they have the strongest CDs in the game? They don’t realize how much of a snowball effect they cause with their 0 skill immunity first clash every BG that sends all of Horde to the GY. Do they not know they carve through Way of the Earth like it’s nothing and then only cry about it taking longer than other classes?
They’re not mad they lose to shamans, they win almost every 1v1. They are simply mad it takes them 3-4 more globals than it used to. They are mad they win the pally vs shaman debate because the win is not fast enough for them. And I know every class has their stonewall defenders that refuse to acknowledge what makes them good, but Paladins as an entire community seem to be on board with “We are the hero class of this game and no one should have more damage than me, more utility than me, or more defensives than me”, I’ve seen at least 10 posts in the last week claiming Pallys need both a SLOW AND A SPRINT!! So add mobility to the list of Paladin aspects no other class should top.
Most Pallys don’t even say Shaman’s need a nerf, they simply point to Shaman utility and make sure everyone knows that Paladins don’t have it and the game will never be balanced until they do. I for one think Rets stronger now than it has ever been in WoW and need a nerf before Spriests or Boomies or Shamans. But they will point to logs and show that over 5 minute raid fights, they are not viable in PvP. Everyone on Horde has been globaled by a paladin while immune multiple times a day, and you don’t see that reflected on the forums. They also seem to combine every possible Shaman spec and every possible rune option into some fictional Shaman super god who’s geared for Ele, Enhance DPS, Tank, and Restro simultaneously while getting triple WF crits, spamming 1600 Maelstrom heals, with Way of the Earth and in their world Decoy totem, and 20% AP are both the same rune on the same slot.
I have a shaman and no other class in the game initiates 1v1 wpvp with me more than Rets. And they do that with my Way of the Earth clearly advertised bc they know if they don’t HoJ my ground and have bubble up they can jump off their mount and no skill PvE me 100-0. But they still come to the forums and lobby to make it seem like anything that happens with their only 5 min CD, doesn’t count.
