Why do 6's feel easier than 2's

Is it the affix?

There are no affixes on anything lower than +4 I think. But as you go up, you get people paying more attention to interrupts and stops. People with slightly better item levels, and so on. Lower keys feel harder than keys over +10 for a multitude of reasons.

Cuz players are better in 6s than 2s

I agree with this personally. I hate starting off in the lower keys because (and I don’t mean to offend players who just hang in lower keys) I run into much more frequent mistakes. People standing in bad, not doing great dps, not interrupting, or simply expecting a carry. When I get into higher keys, people tend to be more “locked in”. Probably because they realize everyone needs to do significant contribution or else the key will fail. Mistakes still happen, but, far less frequent from my experience.

Yeai noticed that in SL, going from like 5 keys to like 15 keys where easier

Yeah its crazy

People think, from when this was true in SL and DF, “it’s just a 2, I don’t have to know anything or read anything or play well”

In a 6, you don’t get those players (yet, they’ll be here in a few weeks, and that’s when you want to be doing 10s)

Did you do 2s day 1 and then do 6s after the many many nerfs?

It’s like easier to do Normal Raid N’zoth than LFR. In LFR, it’s almost impossible to carry mostly scrubs Raid group on Nzoth fight. But easier to do it Normal who has less Scrubs as most Scrubs were gated by the Group Leader like on M+6.

But this was a dilemma for me in Season 1. Becoz I have limited playtime, with limited M score and gear and was left behind by veterans in progression, I was gated to get into +7… Never got invited. It’s like there’s a big wall on me to get KSM. I was trapped with all the Scrubs on lower keys. It was hard PuGing but I have to carry them to the best I can. But I managed to do it, so I farmed +5 and +6 and farmed for Crests relentlessly until I way overgeared on +6.

My best run then was 1x Chested +6. When I reached 1900 M Rating, I started getting invited to +7 from the Elite club, damn, it was so easy. I got 3x 3-Chested +7 right away getting KSM (2000 M Rating) on that same day whereas it took me several weeks to get to 1900 M Rating becoz of bad PuGs. Easy with Elites on higher key although somewhat boring becoz the runs were like scripted unlike in Lower keys PuGs, it’s full of surprises, handling them to cover up mistakes is somewhat way more fun. GG.

You mean you did the same things everyone else did and started getting invites from people at the same experience level as you?

I did what I need to do. But many if not most gave up… They considered PuGing to KSM is HELL and impossible. Not for me. 100% PuGs…I’ve been doing that since Vanilla.

Who’s they? It’s always been fairly easy

Talk to the forums… Not me.

This.
+2 is the first key level, it’s destined to have the most new and inexperienced players by default, and new and inexperienced players are going to be the most prone both to mistakes and perform inadequately.
+6 is the minimum level for the best item level track from M+ outside of vault as well, so it’s going to attract the better players just looking to gear up until we’ve progressed along the curve, at which point that spot will be taken by +10, and some time after that probably +12 and above.

Low keys are the reason a lot of people think M+ is toxic. I have dealt with toxic people maybe 5 times the last 3 expansions in keys. 3 of those times were probably on an alt in low keys.

Low keys are mostly new players, which is completely fine, but they get really nasty over every little mistake. It can be frustrating because they don’t know what they are talking about/doing for the most part.

I mostly pug. This season I played with friends which was a nice change/start.

Funny thing is people flexing on doing high keys when lower keys are harder
