He’s able to mass rez his whole army, he could have totally rezzed Saurfang. I don’t even think Saurfang released his corpse yet.

I just wish the devs would explain how not 1 mage, sage, or egghead for alliance or the rebel horde (some would say traitors…whatever works for whoever) have thought out how to deal with banshee form sylvanas.
She has sprung it 3 times. In the opening movie, in the meeting in the castle and at the fight. A smart mage like thaly or jaina had to have been going maybe we should, you know, work out how to counter this.
Its a trick she is gonna use, lets shut it down.

Weren’t the mages placed elsewhere by Anduin’s orders. The air support moved to TB, our line at the gate was pretty much warriors and siege, right?

It’d be dishonorable to the mak’gora and Saurfang’s wishes. He knew he was going out in that fight and Anduin knew it too. Even if he could pull off the resurrection it wouldn’t be respectful to what Saurfang wanted.

That wasn’t mass res, it was mass heal. Resurrection (like traveling) is much rarer in the story line, which is why he didn’t just resurrect Calia after Sylvanas killed her.

You are always resurrect-able, unless you die in a cinematic, only then your death is permanent.
Saurfang died in a Cinematic.

Faction restrictions. When Audiun moused over his corpse to cast rez, Saurfang had a orange/amber outline with a message “spell cannot be cast on that target.”

Well, considering that Sylvanas has been using the plague since the wrathgate and alliance STILL didn’t learn how to use a stupid gas mask, that is completely normal…
Better question: Why didn’t he shackle Sylvanas?
Why didn’t miss “I can freeze the ocean casually” Proudmoore do anything to stop her?
Why did the director think making Saurfang go down that easy was acceptable?
