Why did you take away Joyous Journeys?

it’s a little more complicated than that. The ability to enjoy the mmorpg as an RPG world rather than an ADHD hero-shooter is essential for the player and the game to have a good mutual long-term relationship.

There is no reason to have it all the time.

Bosses looked at the spreadsheets and were like… why is 95% of the effort and time being put into SOD for the 20 guilds that are still playing it? Devs said bet… we will just kill Cata and that will make them play SOD or retail (if they go retail they might buy that 90 dollar mount, drink mt dew, and boost numbers there at least!!).

This is pretty sad but looks like also being true.

There is no other reason to neglect Cataclysm so much unless the players are intended to go play the “wonder child” called SoD or at least spend more time with Retail to make it look more successful and draw even more players.

But i just hope that we are wrong and at least Joyous Journey will be back.

It was certainly refreshing to log on my 42 mage and see “avg. wait time : 3 mins” for dungeon ques. I got him up to 53 before it was shut off.

Also got my ele sham to 84 and my lock to 82, but everyone is also back to playing their mains now and doing the new Elemental dungeons, so will take a bit before people are back to leveling alts.

So dear xxxx, As you already know If the Joyous Journeys 50% experience buff event is active but you are missing the buff, please visit any innkeeper in the capital cities and Dalaran to turn the experience buff off or on.

Digging deeper into this, I can see that we haven’t received any reports about this particular issue from our player, that’s not to say that an issue does not exist It’s only neither confirmed nor reported. To bring as much attention as we can to this particular issue, I would love to ask you to fill out a bug report forum, in order to provide our developers with as much information as possible and help them release a fix as soon as possible, help us squash the bug by reporting it!

What happens next is that our QA team compiles all the instances of a reported bug, and as soon as a bug is confirmed and reproduced on our end, our dev teams start working on it to fix the root cause and make sure it doesn’t happen again, and the fix is applied with a new patch/update. Game Masters do not get direct communication from our dev team on future patch and update release dates, so we are not able to give you an ETA on when this will be fixed.

It has always come before a big patch and gone after. This isn’t something new. If it’s so gruelling to level you probably belong back in retail.

Blizz just hates to see Classic players happy. Classic makes the new devs feel inadequate against the real devs of the past.

Do you prefer 10min queue on any class/spec or 1hr queue?

Ahhh yes I have ADHD and can confirm lol.

Also multiple GMs have confirmed that this is indeed a bug and I was told to submit a bug report.

This was the response I got:

After taking a look, i understand that the “Joyous Journey” is no longer active. This is not intended as the buff should still be active as there is currently no end date for the buff.

We would need you to please report this as a bug so the developers can take a look at this and just please be aware that you will not get a direct response from the developers. However, we would suggest to check the forums and our official news website.

We hope we clarified this for you and if you need help with anything else, don’t hesitate to contact us.

MAYBE maintenance today is to fix that and the other stuff they screwed up. Fingers crossed!

anyway, this is probably a common theme with jj. it’s happened before.
it’ll be a nice to get a blue in to say something like they did last time.

As the Joyous journeys is no longer available for you, we can only advise a bug report. We have reported the issue on our side, but we also ask players to report the issue to our developers, so that they can receive your first-hand experience, take a closer look, and take care of this situation once and for all!
