Why did you stealth nerf voidwalker threat?

I heard if ya glyped to a void lord it helps with them holding aggro. However, lately it seems I pull off it just as easy as before so something happened.

This exactly. It’s dumb when It’s literally better to just summon a new void walker because they die so easily vs. health funneling your current one. Now they can’t hold threat? What’s next, they’re turned into totems instead of actual pets and can no longer move?

Nah, they’ve been trying to get rid of totems too for a while now. They will just make all pets, forms, and totems 20-30 second cool downs instead. You know, all for the sake of class identity.

Eventually every race and class will be represented by a pile of black slime, with slightly varying characteristics. Each of our class abilities will be a thrown ball of black slime that will slowly make its way to the intended target and then do ambiguous damage or healing.

What a better way to pad that MAU metric than using corpse-runs(not to mention this is a pure pad: there is nothing else you can do until you get to your corpse so you can do whatever you were doing AND if you die again, then you get hit with time-penalties before you can rez) which you must do if you want to continue playing without the RS penalty.

Ah yes, I remember the days when MP would be used when the pet really needed some healing, that 5% HP healing passive that BM hunters had was awesome. Tanking spirit pet meant that you could chain pull non-stop. Those were the ol’good days.

I’ve been pulling threat off my VW all expansion with ease.

At first blush, this sounds unlikely but the more I think about it, the more sense it’s making. And that makes me very sad.

I haven’t noticed it on my lock myself, but if this is the case, I hope they reverse it.

Well, it does… look at the current way it is setup: you quest with a ferocity pet (for the leech buff that kinda heals the pet) but go into instances with a tanking pet (for the stamina buff and the small HP CD). For the purposes of DPS, all 3 seem to do the same damage, the main difference is the active abilities they bring.

All of them have a single target taunt; gone are the days of thunderstomp AoE which means, in questing, AoE must use MD otherwise the pet will only taunt one mob out of the 2 or 3 there that will be coming for you and MD has a 30s CD.

Remember when MD had no CD if you were using it on your pet?

i was meaning on my lock this pally is a work in progress so he is indeed trying out things he can and can not do.

Demo is the number one dps in 8.1

Welcome to being a hunter now

Where are you getting your numbers?

Its gotten to the point where if I get my dots on a target before the void walker can reach them then I will keep threat on myself nearly the whole fight unless I intentionally do less DPS. I might as well just keep the Imp or Succubus out at this point.

Wow logs, frost dks and demo locks are neck and neck.

Looks like it depends on the fight, where they are either doing very well, or not at all.

It’s unfair for a tanking pet to be stripped of its purpose.

I like to think of my Voidwalker as a purple gas giant, pulling everything I do and don’t want from the surrounding galaxy and slingshotting it toward me.

funny thign is it isnt a 8.1 thing.

its been extremely buggy since 8.0 release.

ask many warlocks and they will tell you similar thigns like one fight its normal, next fight it can spam taunt and autoattacking with a wand will take threat the next fight.

they messed soemthign up and it needs to be addressed.

Right, because a guaranteed raid/M+ spot due to summon, battle-rez, extra potion, purge, and AoE stun on top of your competitive dps is “down”…
