Why did you quit in cata

So you quit in wrath?

No I quit in cata. The thread is about why we quit in cata, not why we quit in wrath.

But you said because of lfd. And lfd was added in wrath

That was MoP. Please stop blaming Cata for MoP’s terrible features.

Most people just ride the cAtA SuCkEd train

Um, sweetheart, you realize that LFD was in Cata as well, right?

I sure do. But it was added in wrath making wrath the reason you quit wow.

Correct, but I didn’t quit until Cata. Does that clear it up for you or do we need to go through it again once more?

Nerve hit . Mission complete.

You did not hit a nerve by asking questions lol. I’m just trying to help you understand because I know reading can be hard for some.

I thank you for taking such an interest in the reason I quit, to be honest.

You seem combative .

If they were such terrible experiences, why did you keep using those tools?

Didn’t like the change of old azeroth
wasn’t interested in Deathwing or green jesus story
underwater zone sucked
it just didn’t feel like the game I loved in vanilla, BC and wrath anymore
didn’t like a lot of the class changes
thats all I can think of right now

Me answering your OP and answering your replies is combative?

First day on the internet? haha

I quit because I was becoming an adult with less time for games. I know people like to shed this narrative that everyone who plays classic quit because ‘omg its soo casual, LFR boogyman’. But many quit for completely unrelated reasons.

I honestly think if I did quit for a reason it would have been flying being allowed right off the rip, made the new zones feel like a lessened experience.

Still seething :joy:

I loved Cata. RBGs were a great addition. I enjoyed Tol Barad and the two new BGs that were based on the best classic BGs. Transmog was a neat (and popular) feature (which was improved dramatically in later expansions)

I would do Cata Classic “as is” but with the retail transmog tools.

Actually, most players did not quit in cata. But it’s a disaster for 25-man raid guild.

Also, Mythic 20-man Raid destroyed class/talent balance: We may meet some lower tier talent/class players in 40-man raid/25-man raid. However, you never meet some garbage talent in a 20-man mythic raid.
The raid group composition was fixed by the difficult 20-man mythic raid preparing for professional guilds. Worse, most player just see the raid composition of the best guilds and killed all the rare talent players.

I didn’t necessarily “quit” in Cata, but that was the first of many “sub for a month, get to to max level and do like 2 raids” xpacs for me. From Cata on, I just always got bored very quickly and then fully quit after Legion (until Classic launched, that is).

That never once happened to me. I don’t know where all these horror stories are coming from. Just the opposite in fact. I’ve healed dungeons when the tank admitted to being inexperienced and even after a couple of wipes we nursed him through it.
