Why did you choose your name for your character in this game?

Is there any reason for it?

Oh, yes. I am both a practitioner of Wicca, and a lover of trees, flowers, grass, bunnies, deer, squirrels. I love the touch of water on my skin, the caress of wind on my face, the feeling of earth under my toes, the warmth of the sun.

I gravitate towards nature themed classes in RPGs, like Druids, Hunters, or Shaman. I really enjoy the lore of the Kaldorei, and their deep connection to Nature made it a natural fit for my first character all those moons ago.

I don’t have the original Wiccan, he was on Emerald Dream way back in the day when my cousin and I had joint accounts. Still, I like to think that his wisp lives on inside my new Wiccan.

What’s the reason for your name, Smileshadow?

“Gizber” is litterally “Gnome” in Gnomish. Seemed fitting.

Standard fantasy names that I use in all games I play that someday somehow I came up with. Have like a list of those. Never a random word, always a name. But never with such a deep inspiration, either.

Because I guzzle ___.

Whatever I say I guzzle won’t be as funny as what you put in the blank.

Play a hunter and a fan of Rammstein (Waidmann = Hunter)

Vind = wind/winter
Sual/Sval = Father

The father of winter so love it for frost spec. I also get a good giggle every Christmas when the puny Father Winter shows up.

I do rogue stuff, I think my name fits nicely especially with bike + drest + 2x mindflays + 2x Gushing wounds.

Most of my names have meanings that can correspond with the class.

Scellerata, my DK, roughly translated means Unholy. Celeste, my paladin, that means heavenly. Jasmine, my rogue. Well, jasmine is a poisonous flower and rogues use poison so why not.

Then I’ve got names like Trixxia(hunter) that I’ve just had for so long, not even sure how I first decided on it but its grown on me a lot. And Toots my priest, initially cause Tootsie was taken but then I was gonna solely use the “Of the Four Winds” title to be “Toots of the Four Winds”. Xikkz, my shaman…no clue, something random I came up with but I liked it. Then this girl, I just thought it was a cute name, lol.

Name I liked of a character from a book.

Seems obvious to me.

I like lore friendly names

I was playing a game called EverQuest. I couldn’t think of a name for my character and I had the book Stone of Tears sitting on my desk. I started naming my characters after the Sisters of the Dark and Light. It’s a habit I haven’t dropped in all these years even though I determined along time ago that these books are absolutely terrible.

I clicked random name a few times and liked the result.

This was back in cata when options still existed. I couldnt imagine doing the same thing now when the random names are 15 consonants in a row.

Guess. You get just one guess! :grinning:

Most of my characters have some kind of theme of sorts.
