For me it was either night elf or orc (always rogue) and in Classic shadowmeld isn’t a free vanish.

Most of my friends play Horde and i love the Horde models in classic.
Honestly, classic brings me back because i can experience what the Horde was like before all that bs with Sylvanas suddenly turning evil.

For me, I went Horde because I’ve always played an Undead Rogue and most of my friends were also rolling Horde.
It wasn’t for the sake of getting the “easy route” as the Alliance community on this forum seems to think.

Mostly because my friends were rolling Horde, but I’ve always been Horde, and trolls are the best race in the game anyways.
I went horde because i love the looks and animations of undeads. i mean cmon… their casting animation is boss.
I didnt go horde because its easier. Get rid of Wotf? You bet i’ll still play as an undead. Racials dont play a factor in what I play. looks and feel does.

I chose Horde, because it was what I have always played. Horde was the underdog, and the lesser played faction when I started.
I rerolled Alliance during phase 2 (obviously).

Then they added Blood Elves and that made Horde the popular faction.

Since I’m not horde, I can’t answer the op directly, but I can say why I did NOT.
I played all the RTS games, so, I know the real truth, not any propaganda or whitewashing.
The simple truth is, in Warcraft, Orcs are literally an alien invader race that the very first thing they did was massacre the first human village they came across after coming through the dark portal. For no reason.
It’s pretty hard for me to overlook that.
I’m no fan of the Forsaken either, nor the trolls. I view Tauren as sad victims of naivety and circumstance that will probably eventually be rendered extinct for choosing the wrong friends.
