Why did WoW stop advertising?

No, 4 syllable names are not that big.

Yep. Exactly.

I can pay for Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney+ and Peacock for the price of cable in my area and have 10x the amount of content to watch.

So being cranky you came to forums anyway, yeah that makes a ton of sense.

And both have plenty of scandals and Hollyweird def beats the game and the company with scandals.

And how would I know what exact people you’re reffering to when you’re not making reference to them specifically.

If you’re cranky and crabby even forums isn’t the place to be and you know that.

But if you feel you have to eleborate to people when you’re in a mood then might be best to walk away from the keyboard.

The game is far from dying. In fact, the sub count right now is higher than in Shadowlands.

I feel like he has some kind of Ryan Gosling effect in that being a famous actor makes him seem much better looking than he is. He just looks like some above average looking middle aged guy to me.

It’s lower. The figure they released had to do with retention % from launch not raw values.

Maybe somebody at Blizzard finally got a clue and realized that people who buy wow because ozzy osborne is funny don’t become long-term wow subscribers.

Yeah I’ve unsubbed, this patch was not really what I expected. Class balance still a major issue that isn’t going to be fixed months down the line.

The biggest factor for me, is that I’ve been forced to reroll to even find groups.

Back in the day, when the game was alive, PuGs were everywhere!

You could just say ā€œDPS LFG, list gearscoreā€ and people would invite you! How far has that scene fallen… it doesn’t even exist anymore, I’d say.

There was a time you could see all content in PuGs.

I can’t even find a group for Dawn of the Infinite, without being a meta-class with an already-high IO.

Forget that. I’d rather put my time into another game, because I’m locked out of playing the patch.

No point in not having fun in WoW, waiting to hopefully have it again in August.

Enough is enough.

The game is def too hardcore oriented now. There’s another thread about communities making epic BG premades and how they are much more pervasive now than before. The game is just too old and the remaining players just don’t want to play casually apparently.

I’ll try to be polite about this in case you’re not trolling, though I’m skeptical.

The short answer is that they haven’t stopped advertising, the nature of their advertising has changed, you aren’t getting the ads because they already know that you’re a customer, showing you an ad would be a waste of advertising budget.

Advertising has fundamentally changed since the days of 50 cents and Howard Stern.

Whats wrong with 50 cent? Hes a national icon

And on a side note.

Do you let a cat run on your keyboard when you’re choosing names? Genuinely curious seeing as they look like something was slamming the keys.

How so?

What has he done to make himself an icon

They had a Youtube campaign running a few months ago. 15’s and 30’s I think?

He wrote ā€œin da clubā€, nuff said

LMAO Yeah okay and this is Hello Kitty Island Adventure

He’s also an actor and he produced/created POWER the TV series.
