Why did WoW stop advertising?

They used to advertise all the time with big name celebs and now i dont see anything. Has the day finally come where WoW is dying? Business 101 dictates that advertising is a must to stay relevant and blizzard just aint doin that. Maybe there budget dried up? Why not just get a big name celeb like 50 cent or howard stern to bring new life to the game? I really hope blizzard can make themselves relevent again!

Didn’t they have those commercials for Dragonflight?

Unless you wanna claim that Pedro Pascal and David Harbour aren’t big names lol

Oh wait this is that Ijijijiji clown isn’t it.

Well, for the rest of you that aren’t bottom-tier trolls, there’s a neat commercial.

The playerbase probably isn’t big enough to justify them spending money on advertising like they used to

I’m old enough to remember all those “mr. T” WoW commercials from the mid 2000’s, they would air them on national TV back when the playerbase was ~10+ million

Had to swap alts to hide from his ex-gf

Nobody watches cable tv anymore so that would be a huge waste of money.

Has nothing to do with the playerbase size.

Do you think 50 Cent will accept 50 cents?

They also had an add that I saw on my firestick for DF before launch.

I still occasionally see WoW in banner ads on the BBC website.

The things you learn about people here :flushed:

(just a joke)(ignore me)
