Why did thrall outlaw cannibalism for the trolls but said nothing about the forsaken?

Cannibalism was a cultural tradition for the trolls going back centuries if not millenia. Meanwhile the humans of lordaeron picked it up only a few years ago.

From the get-go a forsaken could walk into orgrimmar and eat a guard killed by invading alliance

That orphanage attacked me, I simply chewed in self-defense!

I think forsakens were always apart.
They start neutral with other horde factions.
They really dont care and will always do as they wish.
Trolls on the other hand live hand to hand with Orcs so they better behave.

orcs hold trolls at a higher standard than undead. they don’t like cannibalism so they don’t want their BFFs doing it either.

forsaken are going to do what they are going to do though. try telling them they can’t eat some dead allie’s foot and see where that gets you…

simple.

Because…

We’re awesome, and we’re undead, and we’ll eat the face off of any Karens who want to get all touchy over our dietary preferences. So back off, elf.

Edit:

No, no, I’m not finished yet. This really grinds my gears…

Secondly! Trolls are already savage. I mean, on the battle field, absolutely savage, zero quarter. zero.

Why should they get to dabble in two forms of war crime when most of the rest of us don’t get any, unless you’re on the alliance, of course.

Leaders need to be flexible when negotiating alliances. That was a sticking point for the Forsaken.

Trolls were scratching the floor with their tusks when they did it.

  1. We don’t know how widely it’s practiced among the Forsaken or if it’s sanctioned by the Horde.

  2. There are different types of cannibalism. We see trolls in the Blood in the Snow scenario kidnap dwarves, and try to cook and eat them. Eating someone who’s already dead is a lot different than that.

  3. Cannibalism among zombies is fine, to have. Cannibalism among trolls is based on racist stereotypes.

Soo…
when that troll lady was laying on her bed beckoning me with her finger saying “Come get de Voodoo!”

Pro tip: Cannibalize a scarlet crusade kill on the forsaken heritage armor questline in front of Velonara and Belmont… it’s great

A lot. A real lot.

We don’t actually care.

Do you think we’re savages that simply eat road kill? No, we make murder then break bread.

Never mind the other stuff I said, this guy gets it.

Is it really cannibalism if its a different species?

Does it still count if I’m in bear form?

The entire post is weird but yes, they do eat people who are dead anyway whether they’re enemy combatants or their own people, so it matches it up with what I said. They don’t kill random people just for food afaik.

And the Forsaken should never have been turned into a playable Scourge but that’s a different story.

c’mon man. How many Forsaken cook books have you read? We don’t go food shopping post battle. Maybe I’m just living a posh life, but when I eat Gnome, I saw it alive, then I didn’t, then I ate.

semantics, really. The main point is that while, yes, we indulge in the bodies of the deceased, we don’t happen across a corps and think, “Snack time”
