Seriously y’all, put this on a male gnome with a beard. I’m 100 percent sure that’s what this transmog was designed for. It looks like a red cap from folklore.
The beard covers the chest design, they wanted to show off what the model looks like.
The chest textures are a flat mesh so I’m thinking they are not meant to be seen by themselves.
Doesn’t really matter. If you buy it, just put it on a male Dwarf.
I think it’s designed for gnomes more than dwarves. The dwarf proportions are off.
It’s obviously part of some nefarious pro-dwarf/anti-gnome agenda! (they just chose a race man)
Well then put it on a gnome. They’ve been showing off things for other races on male humans forever. Just use it on whatever you want.
It’s most likely why, to display the entire set. The chest clearly has a design, its not like its just solid blue.
good I hate gnomes their inventions dont even explode properly
Sorry but I know fashion designed for a beard when I see it. That’s a redcap/garden gnome influence hahaha.
You lose the concept easily if you don’t depict it with the beard. Also notice that the mushroom shoulders aren’t oversized on the gnome model when they are on the dwarf model.
I think it’s helpful to show off which sets are designed for which races in the mock-ups.
Sorry y’all I just have a passion for fashion and the fits for the transmogs matter.
Obviously it wasn’t lost because despite the advertisement, you already know what you want to use it on more.
They didn’t do this with the Sylvanas set nor the Kael shoulders, but I knew that I still wanted to use it on Belf characters.
Simple problems have simple solutions. Just put it on what your prefer. I could see your issue if they only made it moggable on female Dwarves, but that’s not the case here.
Okay but we don’t want to show off transmogs in the sets where there’s obvious clipping. We also don’t want to show off a bold color scheme on a character with busy colors or patterns that clash.
Presenting the best of the set will reduce people from complaining about the quality of the sets when they aren’t exposed to what a set was designed for.
Presentation in advertising the set does matter! The trading post is all about the visuals!
Despite your problems with it, people who are really into transmogging have figured out what they want to put these mogs on and who they really fit.
Your complaints feel like the typical Sunday thread.
The trading post is about putting sets that don’t fit anywhere else and weren’t used in other content up for player access.
If I buy it I’m going to roll my first ever male gnome to wear it.
No it just sounds to me like you’re annoyed that I want more effort in design presentation that these assets artists have worked hard on.
The 3d modelers did their jobs very well. The April advertisers I think did not.
No, it is that it’s not a big deal that you made a big deal over. It’s just a post about the trading post. It’s not the end of the world. Or even the end of fashion.
Also, I just want to say-- there is somebody on the trading post team who is very invested in Celtic mythology and folklore and I see you and appreciate you.
Just another super Sunday-ey thread.
go and kick rocks buddy
Why are you upset? This thread was created for functionally pointless complaining for seemingly no good reason. It’s a Sunday special.
