Why did Raszageth attack Vakthros?

Idk if I missed it, but I don’t think it was ever explained why the Primalists launched an all-out assault on it?

It was the mana crystal control tower, if it was destroyed, the whole crystal vein in the entire azure span would detonate leaving a massive hole behind.

A simple and easy way to destroy a powerful resource utilized by her enemy the Blue Dragonflight but not by her or her followers for purely ideological reasons.

For you see, Razageth is not an order type poke’mon. She would not get STAB on any arcane attacks. Though she should have considered running some non-stab Fel attacks purely for coverage because there’s just a ton of order types in this meta.

So, way back when Malygos anchored the major ley lines of the Azure Span through Vakthros to use them to reinforce the seals holding the other Primal Incarnates in stasis. Raszageth primarily attacked the tower to disable it so that the seals would weaken enough for her to take them down on her own.

The secondary bonus goal, was to totally destroy the tower, causing a chain reaction which would blow the Azure span apart and sink it into the sea.

This is why she says “I may not be able to destroy this tower, but I WILL have my prize” and proceeds to disable it.

This possibly cataclysmic bit of spellwork was apparently a bit of a secret from the other flights, as they seemed unaware of the project. Plus, I struggle to imagine Alexstrasza would of approved of a tower that blow half the isles apart if it fell over.

Malygos and Neltharian were the duo best buds who did so many things together the others wouldn’t have approved of so they protected each other worked together and kept each others secrets. It’s why Neltharian’s betrayal literally drove Malygos to insanity. These two were the thickest of thieves for so so long until suddenly his best friend became his worst enemy aiming to destroy him and his whole flight in earnest before focusing on the rest.
