Why did Glyphs stop being a thing?
Not sure, but I’ve seen umpteen-million examples of people saying “I wish we had a glyph that did X”.
Seems like untapped potential for a system that is already in place in game.
Inscription.
I love it and I hate it. My druid was inscription since the day it came out. Every expansion at the beginning of each expansion inscription does really well because of darkmoon cards, and then you sold glyphs the rest of the time.
In Dragonflight inscription is crap. Darkmoon cards were crap and no one wanted them, and the only thing they are useful for now is consumeables - both cosmetic and practical.
It’s why I finally bit the bullet and quit a profession they have basically given up on.
I wish I knew. The only glyphs currently in game are cosmetic ones. Inscription is good for staves, cards, and missives as well as selling cosmetic glyphs.
I use Inscription for feeding treatises and weapon runes to alts, and sometimes a staff or caster offhand for the random patron.
